Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit

Haven't seen this since I was a kid. Never realized how much wordplay and subtle jokes there were in this.

The Martian.

It's a good movie.

Geostorm.
It was okay. Entertaining, to the the least. And it actually had a plot, unlike Transformers: The Last Knight.

In other words, it was better then most blockbuster films, but definitely pales in comparison to some better movies.

The Mask of Zorro (1998)

I love Monte Cristo-style stories of revenge like this one.

I saw The Death of Stalin. Armando Ianucci's latest political satire retains many similar elements from his previous works like The Thick of It, In the Loop, and Veep. The difference here is that the farcical bumbling of it's central characters now has consequences far greater than before. In the Loop touched on heavier themes since in that film the protagonists are trying to start or avert a middle eastern war, but they're much more keenly felt here, as the executions of civilians are frequently shown in between the segments of incompetent politicians desperately trying to save face. Their struggles are also more serious here; failure doesn't just mean resigning in disgrace, it means a bullet in the back of the head. That's not to say the film isn't funny, because it is, but the film strikes a fine balancing act between the comedy and the tragedy. The cast are all great, but Simon Russell Beale as Beria steals the show. 4/5

It's pretty good, yeah.

I'd heard of the movies/shows you mentioned, though I'd not gotten around to watching them yet.

The last movie I've seen was IT. I really like it, some parts were kind of meh, but it inspired me to read the book. Which is quite stellar I suggest reading it.

Loving Vincent

Visually stunning film. It's amazing how every frame is hand-painted. I also like the plot because it involves many perspectives. This film makes you appreciate the genius that is Vincent Van Gogh.
