Hail, Caesar! (2016) which is an odd Coen brothers movie. I'd recommend it to anyone who says they're into "cinema" but not the average person.

Finding Dory

It made me laugh, it made me cry. One of those rare times when a sequel is just as good as the first movie. :)

The short film before it, Piper, was cute.

Sleepy Hollow. Specifically the Tim Burton version, which is quite a visual and musical treat. I miss the gothic style found in a lot of films from the 1990's.

After watching the trailer, it does seem to be an interesting scifi flick.

Rewatched Alleluia, a really good Belgian serial killer film. Laurent Lucas is a wonderful actor.

Stranger Things, season 1, 2016 show
Starring Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton.

This Netflix exclusive show is glorious. If you wanted a clash of everything 80's, this is pretty much the show. It's got a gloriously 80's electronic theme and soundtrack. Lots of 80's synth type of stuff throughout the soundtrack. The plot itself, I still don't entirely know what's happening, but it's a great clash of stuff. The main characters are pretty much the 4 kids (Or, it starts as 4, becomes less, than they gain 4 again), which gives off a total Goonies vibe, except one of the kids adds a total different vibe to the show, which she's kind of a big part that brings the whole thing together. There is a weird monster/monsters (?, never really figured it out, but I think it is one so far), which feels kind of like some old style of alien monster. There are total horror feeling sections, with some lovely horror synth. There are many references to Dungeons and Dragons throughout. And the acting by the kids is great, and for that matter, everyone in the show to be honest. I don't really know how to describe the plot itself, so if the descriptions here intrigue you, you can just find out for yourself. But I highly enjoyed the show nonetheless.

Oh, and the show is also based in 1983, so it's got that 80's culture as well. Plus various forms of 80's music, like The Clash and such. Doesn't seem to be your typical hair metal/rock or cheesy 80's pop type of 80's music, either. Pretty nice mix.

9/10

The fly 1958. Really unusual, didn't expect it to be told in flashback.
