Le Divorce, via Netflix. Was quite disappointed.
Pros: Peace, love, faith, intersectionality and vegetables. :)
Cons: Militarism, capitalism... Well, kyriarchy, basically.

A Knight's Tale (2001). My taste in historical dramas usually runs to the serious and not the comedic, and the more rather than less accurate, but I had never seen the film and thought I might as well give it a try. I was genuinely entertained for most of it and can admit that it's a success on it's own terms. Highly unlikely that I'd ever revisit it though.

A favourite of mine, I've no idea why it works so well but it does. Normally anachronisms in films drive me crazy, but somehow they don't in this.

Meadowland (2015). Not an excellent movie, but the subject keep circling in your head. Cinematographically meh, emotionally stunning.

10 Cloverfield Lane. I didn't like it. The big twist at the end ruined it for me.

Mockingjay Part 2

I give it a :/ out of 10. There were no high points and plenty of low points. The series had plenty of chances to win me over but it blew all of them.

The Guns of Navarone

Yet another 1960s war movie that I saw when I was younger, and now that I've rewatched it when I'm older and wiser I realize that it really isn't as good as I thought it was then.

By the Sea (2015). A flawed, but interesting film. It's self-consciously attempting to be arthouse, part Hemingway, part Bergman, and a third thing I can't quite put my finger on. The photography is gorgeous and the film gradually becomes more interesting as it goes on, but the dialogue is so flat and surface level without any of the subtlety that it seems like the film is going for. Worth watching overall.

Deathdream - a pretty well-made low budget horror from the very early seventies about a dead Vietnam war soldier reappearing at home as a zombie. Horror films rarely age well.

I fall on the opposite side. The big twist is what made the movie stand out to me.

Rock 'n' Roll High School, featuring the Ramones and at least two giant white mice.

At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.
