Face Off. Just like anything else with Nicolas Cage, it turned out to be an unintentional comedy.

Magic Mike XXL: Yes, I'm a heterosexual man, but I liked the last one more than I thought I would so I gave this one a shot. These movies are so fucking funny... the people who just go "Meh, I don't wanna watch male strippers" are missing out on great comedic performances. This time around the movie's actually even less serious... the franchise has realized and embraced what it is, which has caused it to increase slightly in quality. This one slides in under the wire to knock Unfriended off my Top 10 of the Year (so far) list. 10/10

The Gallows: Not great, but not as bad as I was expecting from the shaky cam in the previews. Wound up being glad I saw it, but there have been better horror movies earlier in the year. Still, I didn't see that twist at the end coming. 8.8/10

Top 10 of the Year (so far) for those who are curious:

1. Tomorrowland
2. Kingsman: The Secret Service
3. Mad Max: Fury Road
4. The Avengers: Age Of Ultron
5. Inside Out
6. Insidious 3
7. Terminator: Genisys
8. Lavalantula
9. Magic Mike XXL
10. The Lazarus Effect

I just watched Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter...am I the only one that hugely enjoys that movie? I mean yeah sure it is absurd and all but I can't help but really enjoy myself. Maybe I just really like Dominic Cooper.

Ant-Man was the last new movie I've seen. It was good but I don't know, there's just something that stopped me getting into it as much as I got into Guardians of the Galaxy. Not sure what it is, though.

Last night, I watched Gone Girl again. Saw it in the cinema last year and it's extremely good. So twisted! Excellent film. Highly recommended.

Chris Pratt. And the fact that the chemistry between the heroes was irresistible. And everyone in the movie was clearly having a blast, and the great comedic value. And an opening title sequence involving both Redbone and Pratt dancing.

You're not the only one... it's a very enjoyable film. I loved it when I saw it on the big screen, and though I have yet to rewatch it I'm certainly not against the idea of seeing it again. Dominic Cooper... is he the one that plays Howard Stark in the Marvel Universe, too?

Personally I didn't like Guardians very much :\

I've seen Southpaw, the new Terminator and the new Mission Impossible.

Southpaw was decent. The last movie I saw in theaters (before that) was San Andreas. Very refreshing after such garbage. Jake Gyllenhal's performance was easily the strongest point of the movie. Emotional, real and captivating. The rest of the movie was very enjoyable. It ends in the way you would expect, so it's really a 10/10. It lacks originality. It felt like a modern, more edgy Rocky. There were also lots of opportunities to really do something unique, and unexpected but nearly every single time the director went back to hide in his hole, doing what he knew would make money but not have a chance of earning any amazing reviews.

The new Terminator was trash. There's really nothing else to say.

MI was better than the rest. Finally, they realized nobody takes the series seriously so they went way over the top and added jokes here and there. Very enjoyable.

San Andreas is the worst movie to come out this year.
It's just me against the world.

RIP ZYZZ

At home: Birdman. On the one hand, the performances are excellent. On the other hand... what in the high holy fuck? 7.5/10

In theaters: Minions. Better than an arguably unnecessary prequel/spinoff/marketing gimmick has a right to be... definitely good for a few laughs. 8/10

The Vatican Tapes. It's a fairly typical Catholic horror movie, so if you like that kind of thing you'll find it rather enjoyable but if you don't you probably aren't gonna be that into this one either. I was surprised how many famous people they got for it... haven't seen Michael Pare in forever. At any rate, I loved it, but I generally like this kind of thing so take that with a grain of salt. 10/10

Sliver. Don't watch it. It's too erotic.

There's no such thing as too erotic! :eyebrow:

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty. Loved the short story, and the film's a great expansion/modern update of it. Some of the best acting I've seen from Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig, and Adam Scott's also surprisingly good in a complete asshole role that's totally different from anything I've seen him play. 9.6/10

The last movie I've seen? Pixels, of Adam Sandler fame.

I have to say, despite being a Happy Madison product, it's pretty much a good movie. The jokes were funny, there was an actual feeling of dread and the characters weren't THAT bad of cutouts. You do have the loser kid as president, the nerd kid growing to be a reclusive conspiracy guy and the jerk almost ruining the planet, but it isn't THAT bad of a movie.

Perhaps the reason is that it's also produced by 1492 Pictures, the same guys who made the Night At The Museum movies.

Straw Dogs, the 1971 original with Dustin Hoffman.

There's a lot about this movie that I hate, but I have to admit I was on the edge of my seat for the last half hour, even though I already pretty much knew how it ended. I'm not sure if anything prior to 1971 managed to be of that intensity. I have quite a few issues with the story though, so I wouldn't really call it a great movie.

Some movie on Netflix, 13/13 or something? One of the most hateful and downright unpleasant things put to screens.
