Haven't watched since whatever series was the second gala where celestia said twilight flies like a shit and lol'd in her face.
Show any good still?

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

Got it wrong, was up to "Rock solid friendship."

The comedy is on point. The line about "With the right rock you could rule equestria." -> =/ "You're messing with me." and the awkwardness/timing of it is great.

"Kites."
...
Just be honest.

Rarity a bit condescending about the crusaders chosen career.
Oh, condescending in general.

Dashies parents make her character in the first seasons suddenly make so much sense.
She's grown up since being away from their influence, but her massive ego and arrogance are put into context.

...
dash, what the fuck.

"Some ponies would love to have parents like that."
"Yeah right, name one."

-Orphan intensifies.

Hard to say anything, btw.

Big Mac and Cheerilee broke up it seems ;(

The Muffin Pone from Starlights cult village?
Oh, okay.

To be fair I suppose Big Mac and Cheerilee might just be friends, and really were just fucking with the CMC and pretending to date to teach them a lesson about love potions being creepy and disturbing, though that's a pretty fucked in the head thing to do to them, I suppose turnabout is fair play.

"Yeah you dosed us and started regretting it, so now we're gonna make you think it's permanent and force you to wonder if you did something terrible and irreversible."

Is Big Mac flutterguy? I forget, because we know the voice actor can sing like in the quartet.

"I've never seen my brother sad before."
...
Yes, you have.

Honest apple.

Spike still doing the dumb shit for Rarity, Rarity still letting him do it.
Dude, you saved an entire country, twice, get some self-respect, gawd.

Though to be fair, in that episode he literally did say he doesn't feel like he accomplished anything and never let himself feel good about it. Which is pretty tragic. So it's consistent with his character at least.

What's warped about this opening is that he's carrying shit with his claws.
She's a unicorn.
He even drops it everywhere and she lets him pick it up, one thing at a time, rather than just, magic bam, all picked up.

Prediction:
"Applejack, come look at some dresses and lemme know what you think."
"RARITY THERES NO POCKETS. GET DEEPER POCKETS. OH MY GOD, WHO CARES IF ITS PRETTY."
And then Applejack became best pone for millions of women everywhere.

Oh my god if this episode is literally that, i'm going to love it.

I don't see any downfall in quality over last years. Some series are better, some are meh. Some episodes extremely good, some should be burned at the stake.

Good thing is the still growing number of fanfiction and fanart of very high quality - probably the logical outcome, as many fans are older and more skilled.
"Those who reached my boundary, their seed is not; their hearts and their souls are finished forever and ever. As for those who had assembled before them on the sea, the full flame was their front before the harbour mouths, and a wall of metal upon the shore surrounded them. They were dragged, overturned, and laid low upon the beach; slain and made heaps from stern to bow of their galleys, while all their things were cast upon the water." - Ramesses III., Battle of the Delta

Turns out Honest Apple was the opposite of my hope.
I initially thought they'd swing between the two extremes before settling on the middle, but seems they sided with impractical fashion for fashions sake. A shame, they could have ended with the moral being "Yes fashion, but also pockets."
Still comedic, episode is fine.

"A royal problem."

1. Map calls starlight.
2. It's Celestia and Lunas castle.
3. It didn't call twilight.

Get rekt.

"Luna and celestia would never fight." Almost choked on my crisps.

I'll give some fanfic recommendationso when I get back to my computer.
If I'm thinking of the right episode, 'A Royal Problem' was pretty funny for someone watched it wildly out of order and thus with only a vague sense of who certain characters are

I was just worried that me posting the EQD article would have pissed you off, consisting that I have had some.... flame when I talked about Scoots in the past.

Suggestions?
I put in a lot of effort into A Very ’Clucky’ Nightmare Night and consider it my best work so far.

But If you want goofy royal sisters, Celestia and Luna's spoopy bet would be cool. But A Very ’Clucky’ Nightmare Night has a bonus chapter that ties into this.

This one is my first fic. But It has less polish and it was before I had an editor.

Thanks for being interested in my fics btw.
