They better find a way to make it really good, as I'm afraid the movie isn't going to bring in many more new fans.

Why? I'm still hyped for the movie, it looks good.

From the trailer it looks like a generic adventure story with jokes that fall flat. I'm sure there's some that disagree, but I would think that a lot of them are already in the fandom.

To be quite fair, there's only so much you can do with humans being horses or horses being humans that hasn't already been done half to death.

Not what I have heard at all.

I'm actually quite hyped for it. The new characters sound good, it looks gorgeous, and well, I like the humor.

Doesn't look generic at all.

I disagree. The foregrounds and the charter movement looks fluid. Everything just kinda looks good to me.

I think the adjustments made to the character animation style do crank up the cuteness a bit. Backgrounds, foregrounds, props, effects, and story...we'll see.
It looks more ToonBoom than Flash now, basically.

Considering that Trump was elected on my birthday, the fact that I spent the last two years of my life helping depressed people, the loss of my Papa and, the recent passing away of my 12 year old dog, yet my optimistic spirit has never once broken, I don't think it's possible for it to break.

I know what it means, just wondering why you are saying it here?

I mean, at that point in time, I was in a very bad cold, was in debt and, my faithful dog was dying.

I mean, I'd consider that very bad.

It's bad for sure, everything depends on what you compare it to.

~The falling stars you wished upon
Are cinders now and now they're gone
Their residue festoons my fetid field...
Revealing husks of lovers past
Their shells are all that ever last
I've taken everything that they've concealed...~

It's funny that you guys are talking about this.

I feel that we are always sweet summer children in one way or another.

There is always something more hidden. We think that we've reached the bottom of the barrel.

But then... We find something more in the dark corners of the world.

In order to celebrate my return to the MLP fandom, I'd like to present you guys with what I've been up to.

Today was a case of "First World Problems, Pony Edition" with the classic friendship feel we all know and love. Rarity's plight is of course very relatable--losing something, even temporarily, that you thought was essential about yourself, with a friend to realize what else more you are, is precisely the kind of lesson that made the show endearing in the first place. Especially after last week's writing disaster, this one was far and away closer to the show's spirit, much more tightly written (although I do wonder why Rarity didn't think to visit Pinkie earlier. Dramatic convention, I suppose.). And yet I get the feeling that Rarity knew how to properly deal with the situation already...

The rules of Equestrian magic have become stranger, creating the oddest paradoxical tension since "Magic Duel" and "It Ain't Easy Being Breezies." In "Boast Busters," Trixie could change Rarity's mane dramatically when it was full (and it at least lasted longer), and Twilight could grow mustaches out of seemingly nothing, but not only do both Twilight and Starlight struggle to grow Rarity's mane back, the magic has to obey the laws of conservation of matter. I wonder if manes are magical in itself, and if so, that might also explain why Rarity became "invisible" and ignored beyond the 'do's hideousness. (Surely the other ponies recognized Rarity's voice, no?)

Oh, and Rarity, you, an entrepreneur with mastery of persuasion, can't outbid some lowly consumer? Your confidence really did take a nosedive. Next time, too, learn to option major purchases.

So... how old are the Cake Twins really? Surely they've sneezed from day one, so what Pinkie is actually celebrating can't actually be the sneeze....

This one restored my confidence in the writer's a little bit though I'm not sure they made their best out of all they got.

Thanks Herp.

Are you familiar with the concept and the story behind the picture?

There's, like, a fuckton more art where that came from.
