I can see it lasting up tothe 2017 movie. I hope this happens in the movie. Also, I hope there is an epic rock remix of the theme song (similar to Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Transformers). It'll probably be like this.
Maybe they'll be some sort of sequel series about the CMC (plus maybe some new characters) as adults/teenagers/whatever age the mane 6 are.

We can only hope that, if the movie is meant to be the finale to the series, that the series actually ends with the finale... rather than being dragged back on by the network without most of the original writers, like Spongebob.
I still find the site interesting and useful though. I personally doubt the 2017 movie will be the finale of the series. The toy generation is supposed to last until 2020, and I think some form of media tie-in will exist. Maybe the IDW comics? Speaking of comics, you should read spongebob comics. They are way more like season 1-3, "published" (presumably, that means it has to have his approval) by Stephen Hillenburg, and can experiment with the comic medium.
