I mean I'm fine with deplatforming Nazis, derpibooru isn't run by the government and if people are leaving because of that I think it might say as much about them as the site. It's wild to think Nazi bronies would have been nothing but the punchline of a National Lampoon joke 40 years ago though.

Most of that genre from what I can tell, is rubbish. But if written well enough, it has potential in terms of entertainment value. For fanfiction in general, your mileage will vary greatly in accordance to whoever wrote it and what is good or bad in terms of writing is partially subjective.

An idea I had was magic being a two way street, where magic effects ponies if ponies have magic but magic not having any effect on people if people don't have magic. Thus the ponies might have the misfortune of only having physical means available to fight against humans were it to come to a war. Of course, an opposite approach could be taken where magic effects everything in Equestria because it is a separate dimension. It is whatever you want to do with a story if you're writing it and it doesn't completely suck or need work to take it to the next level.

I would say even Earth ponies have magic, just not in the same sense as unicorns, same for pegasi. That is perhaps why ponies in general can manipulate objects despite not having opposable thumbs or certain limbs that in the real world, are needed for a lot of things to not be disabled. To have a civilization, a means of creating and using tools does appear to be required.

I went to college, had a job, and moved away since this was posted. Hell, since I last posted here, seriously it feels like an entirely different lifetime ago and this thread hasn't even reached 500 pages yet. I didn't even bother watching the show to the end of season 6, sadly.

Same. I haven't watched MLP since the middle of season six was new. A lot has changed for me in the past five years, and I am a completely different person. I I am the new Auzi and I remember when we'd reach 500 in weeks.

I have it on my list on Netflix at least so I can catch up.

For one thing, a lot of these posts on the old threads were never really pony-related at all, and the mods cracked down on it.

The main show ended with season 9, but I feel like there is a "season 10" with the IDW comics. Also, there's this thing called Pony Life which is practically a random and no sense version of the show but with the same protagonists.
