Anyway, it's not like a franchise finishing its run means the fandom of that will die out instantly. As long as there are reruns and other re-releases, people can always go back to it.

Talking about Pony Life, I'm not in favour of it. The chibi style just sets me off. The original one is better, but Pony Life makes it too cute and expressive.
But MLP is designed for kids, so if they like it then I'm fine.

.5 generations have never worked. 1.5 (My Little Pony Tales) didn't work, 3.5 (Core) didn't work, Hasbro needs to learn their lesson and stop. If you want to continue the show, just continue it, don't kill it and then raise it from the dead as a half-formed monstrosity.

Wonder what our odds are on it no longer happening. I would be mildly disappointed, but that's a logical reason given the dislike I've otherwise seen.

I thought it was because Lizzo (the singer of the song they used) did twerking at an NBA game and that was a big controversy, not to mention the song had a lot of swear words in it anyway.

Just saw the hearths warming club episode. Even though I haven't seen much of s7 or s8 I still really enjoyed it. Probably one of the best festive episodes in the series (I'd put it above the original hearths warming eve episode)

Had a flick through the 2020 annual. Came across something weird.

In the personality quiz it said Fluttershy's favourite school topics were art and music but biology was unmentioned. Aren't animals kind of her main thing?

Yeah, it said Biology was Applejack's favourite topic (or one of them at least). It would come in helpful for looking after her farm animals, but then again Fluttershy would find it useful for her veterinary work.
