If one was to divide the TV series into eras, how would you arrange it?

Here's how I'd do it:
Seasons 1 and 2: The Lauren Faust era when she was involved as an Executive producer or Consulting producer
Seasons 3 and 4: The Princess Twilight Era where Twilight becomes a princess and has to learn the responsibilities of her newfound power. (This can also be the Hub Era, as these were the last two series to air on the Hub Network incarnation before the channel became discovery family).
Seasons 5, 6 and 7: The Starlight Glimmer era/storyline where her character arc is the linking thread between most episodes. They even added her to the intro in season 6.
Seasons 8 and 9: The School era with the School of Friendship

Including season 3 in with that seem unreasonable, as she became Princess at the literal end of the season.

Further, your era for seasons 5-7 is rather broad - I don't recall her terribly much in 6 or 7 (I could be wrong, has been awhile) and I know she was only in a couple episodes of 5.

In G5, this mistake would be canon.

So apparently, it was meant to be somewhat suggested (but open to interpretation) that Luster Dawn is Starlight and Sunburst's daughter. Jim P. says he doesn't see her as such, but Josh Haber apparently does.

I've only seen the first 2 seasons in full, most of season 3 plus a handful of episodes from season 4, but I have seen clips from the later seasons and I do know what happens in later seasons. I looked up information about the later seasons of TV Tropes. I just wanted each era to have at least two seasons. Thinking about it, perhaps the Seasons 3-5 could be the Meghan McCarthy era when she was executive producer. Seasons 6 and 7 can still be the Starlight era as her episodes are the most common according to the TV Tropes descriptions of episodes.
