Okay, so now we know how Equestria works. Apparently cities like Ponyville, Appoeloosa, Crystal Empire and Canterlot are all city states that form Equestria. I wonder if Equestria has their own article of Confederation.

Jeez, for a pony whose supposed to be good at planning and scheduling, Twilight seem to forget to schedule herself some time to sleep.

amd then Spike turns into Douchebag mode, right on cue.

So, why would they leave Spike in charge of making sure Twilight Sparkle is safe and soundly asleep? I mean, Celestia, Luna and Cadance all get their own Royal Guards. Where are Twilight guards? She should at least get two ponies who can actually guard the door and tell these ponies to fuck off, Princess Twilight Sparkle needs her damn sleep.

Seriously, why no guards?

FANCY PANTS! YAY!

"Twilight won't have to worry about when she wakes up." Oh Spike, you stupid stupid dragon. Have you learned nothing from Inspiration Manifestation?

Cadance....DO SOMETHING CADANCE!!! YOU KNOW TWILIGHT BETTER THAN SPIKE DOES, APPARENTLY!!!

Dammit Cadance.

Douche-bag Mode cranked up to 11

"Spike, I'm concern you might be abusing your relationship with Twilight." FUCKING DUH!? C'MON CADANCE!!

"Not like anything bad happened." Cue something bad happening.

So Cadance has the power to turn things into...Crystals, Gems? What?

And then Equestria enters into a state of Civil unrest and war, thanks to fucking Spike destroying the fucking statue of fucking friendship.

Oh jeez....Princess Twilight Sparkle is going to get fucked. All thanks to fucking Spike.

Seriously, where are the fucking guards? Lord and Lady above....

"Maybe I did do a good job today." Really Spike, really? Twilight Sparkle is about to face an angry mob of ponies that YOU pissed off, and you say that? I hate you Spike, I just fucking hate you.

"Maybe more than a few, but I had good intentions." You know, I feel like a few lines from Hurricane Neddy works here.

Flanders: Calm down, Neddly diddily diddily diddily, doodily. They did their best shodaiddily iddily iddily diddily diddily. Gotta be nice, hostidididildilidilly... aw, hell-diddly-ding-dong crap! Can't you morons do anything right?! [everyone gasps]

Marge: Ned! We meant well, and everyone here tried their best.

Flanders: Well, my family and I can't live in good intentions, Marge! Oh, your family's out of control, but we can't blame you, because you have good intentions!

A LITTLE CARRIED AWAY SPIKE!? FUCKING REALLY!? STOP TRYING TO DOWNPLAY THIS!!! YOU DUN FUCKED UP, OWE UP TO IT YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT!!

Can the angry mob beat him up? Please? Maybe a little bit roughing up? Please?

I like Canadian pony, I love her accent and attire. Has the fandom named her yet?

Worst episode of the season. Please, please for the love of all that is holy, no more Spike episode.

That wasn't a Canadian accent. It was more like the Fargo accent. Which is why the fandom has dubbed her Marge Gunderson.

Indeed. If nothing else, this episode gave us adorable background ponies. Like the dorky one who likes Gems.

He should have stayed with the dragons he migrated with, and never came back.

And reading through the credits, Marge was voiced by St. Germain. That chick can voice anything.

So I'll be honest. The ending of the episode kind of left me empty and I think the problem is scope. I'll explain what I mean in a bit. But here's what we know about Equestria. That it's a collection of city-states with a shared currency and a common ruler (The Royal Sisters.) I am willing to relegate The Crystal Empire to territory status, kind of like Puerto Rico. While The Royal Sisters rule all over Equestria and the several city-states do share a common currency, it seem that beyond that, each city-state has a lot of autonomy on how the city-state is run.

Which means that The Grand Equestria Pony Summit is actually pretty damn important. It allows each city-states to talk and coordinate one another over various matters, but it also helps keep Equestria harmonious. So in short, The Grand Equestria Pony Summit is a big fucking deal. Probably one of the few times that representatives from each City States are able to meet one another.

What Spike has done in the name of "Princess Twilight Sparkle," should have carried a heavier penalty. Not only did he misused Princess Twilight Sparkle's office of The Princess of Friendship, but he also misrepresented Princess Twilight Sparkle herself. He put the whole Summit and the running of Equestria into jeopardy because of his own over-sized ego. His antics could have led city-states to fighting one another and starting trade wars and straining of relationships.

Instead, Spike gets off by giving a speech and attempting to put the statue back together. Why the Hel Twilight Sparkle still has faith in Spike, I have no idea.

Spike get punished? Ha! He's done everything from trying to frame an owl for mouse killing, to wrecking the town on a dragon greed binge. He never gets punished for shit.

At least the ending could be open to various interpretations, maybe he gets his punishment off screen?

Why not both?

Also, directing hate towards directors, writers and/or producers is the worst thing fans can do, especially worse if they get death threats.

Yes, the episode wasn't good, but that's not an excuse, they should give them reasonable, constructive criticism, not just pure hatred.

Unless it's Merriweather "I couldn't write with a gun to my head" Williams. She deserves ALL the hate. I hope to meet her one day, so I can insult her writing to her face.
