I had no idea that MLP had any racist or political subcultures, but if that is the case- people must not let the politically correct types gain complete control as to censor such art. The show in my mind is for everyone to enjoy on its own merits. If there is art that certain people perceive to be negative, the counter is to make art that is the opposite of that- than to try to deplatform or take down such art.

The concept of the zebras representing Black people, is a bit amusing to me I must admit. My guess is that if a ponified version of American history is made, that the ones to represent the native Americans will be the buffalo like in that one old episode?

Not all Black People; Sapphire Shores, Matilda, Captain Celaeno and Queen Novo all have black VAs. Zebras are meant to be a Native African tribe, not a representation of all Black People. The Buffalo represent great plains Amerindians but Ahuizotl and the Jungle civilisation he represents are Aztec Amerindians (Ahuizotl is from Aztec mythology after all).

One thing I Don't quite get about Far Right fans of the franchise; they are aware that Tara Strong is Jewish, right? And the woman who played Megan in the original show is Black and Mixed-Race. Its just seems hard to reconcile those facts with an extremely discriminatory viewpoint.

The point is that deplatforming doesn't work in the long run, it perhaps works for individuals but not as much for whole groups of people, who will get together to make their own platforms that're outside the control of people who want to shut them down or do censorship. Hateful types will come whether people want them to or not. There is enough demand out there for hate in general, so there are people willing to profit from it.

I myself, am not sold on the merits of harmony as certain people define it, as actually being harmonious. MLP for a lot of people, is just silly escapism and not something whose values are to actually take to heart because in the real world, its true that reality is zero sum in certain respects. For every winner, there is someone or something that loses out in order to enable the winners to reap their rewards generally speaking.

Yeah, but typically the new platform they create isn't nearly as popular as the previous one. If you get deplatformed from something like Twitter or Derpibooru, you lose out on a significant audience who can reach you. To give an example, plenty of alt-right figures have been deplatformed on social media and Patreon before, cutting off a good amount of their income. Sure, they can go to someplace like Gab where they can peddle their views, but it's not nearly as effective in reaching out to susceptible people who would otherwise be a part of their movement.

The creator made it because his older brothers loved both the 80's and 2010's cartoon, and they hated TTG, so he made a Thundercats TTG-esque (Thundercats Roar) series simply because he hates his brothers and wanted to spite them.

More seriously, I do wonder how you guys are faring since the show ended. I never watched it myself because I drink my bourbon neat but I was always fascinated with human-in-Equestria fanfics, mainly because there's so much dark comedic potential between world-weary humans and idealistic ponies.

Also on the topic of Brony Nazis... very small portion of the Brony Fandom, quite simply irrelevant nowadays. But that aforementioned Atlantic Article has triggered what can potentially be a mass exodus from Derpibooru after what many see as a shift from Free Speech to One Sided Censorship.
