Somewhat. My girlfriend introduced me to the fandom ironically, and I've browsed about the wikia, seen masterpieces such as Lullaby for a Princess, and read a few FiMfictions. The only episode I've watched is the very first one of season one.

So far, my only regret is not gaining an unhealthy amount of weight, immediately be sealed in my basement, acquire a greasy neckbeard and trilby was not present upon my conversion.

Once in a blue moon, I'll do the grimdark stuff. But my few drafts of grimdark tend to deal with people rising and falling in society, getting back-stabbed (sometimes quite literally), and a foreboding fate that friendship may be magic, but it will not keep you alive...

More often than not, I dabble in history, cultural references, I'm pretty much MatPat/Gaijen Goomba in discovering obscure cultural/historical references. And if you can have a magical world of Westeros, Middle Earth, Narnia or anywhere else, why not Zoidberg Equestria? I delight in the challenge of making something seemingly childish much more adult/mature (not in sex, guns and roses, but relatable to the masses)

TL;DR: Am newfag newfriend, for my mind is dark and full of memes and broken dreams.
