Well, IRL most Amish are fluent in both Pennsylvania German and English and confine the latter to in-group settings. It's still disturbing to use archaic English to imply "Amish".
They have an accent, speak PA German to their kids, and modern English to customers; it's never some old-fashioned archaic formal English
