I have been wondering. Like all good things, MLP: FIM will come to an end, hopefully with a bang. So, once that happens, what will become of us, the Brony Community? Are we going to live on decades to come like the Trekies and such?

They're still making Star Trek, so that's hardly an apt comparison.

Hopefully. I'd hate for the communities that have sprung about around mlp to fade away. Even once the series stops, we can still talk about it, post our funny/cool/cute pictures, comment on any activities involved in the show, and persist.

Even after all that, with how popular MLP:FiM is... I think we'll be getting a generation 5. And if it ends up being anything like what we have now, I can't wait.

Granted, it might be a while, and fans of gen 5 might not know of gen 4, Of the age of Equestria as we know it, elements of harmony and the Diarchy, but we'll remember. We can compare and contrast, and if any of the new bronies or pegasisters come under fire as the community has in the past, we can step in if necessary. We'll be like the old guard, and we can complain to the young ones.
"Back in my day, we had to watch ponies on a flat screen. We didn't have any fancy schmancy holograms or virtual reality viewing. And we liked it!"

It'll be glorious.

I will move on to something else as I always do. Occasionally I'll return to the fan-made music and the pictures I've seen.

I won't miss it all that much. I will remember it though.
