Don't cherry-pick my post for what you think is wrong.Bearon wrote:It developed Sadie and Steven more as characters in my mind
It didn't develop ANYTHING. It was whiny teenage crap that even the CW would look at and go 'Jeez, take it down a notch'.Bearon wrote:and gave us plenty of extra fun tidbits as I mentioned above.
Oh, who gives a shit about these 'tidbits'? The supposedly gay couple? Who cares. They're frigging background extras. Steven signing in a skirt? I don't care.Bearon wrote:Tbh I think you just don't like Sadie as a character which is understandable but you shouldn't let it taint your entire view on an episode.
Don't like Sadie? Ha. No, I fucking LOATHE Sadie. Cause every episode with her ends up like this. Whiny shit that no one will care about in a week.
That episode sucked.
"Don't cherry pick my post." You say as you proceed to cherry pick mine. >_<
Sadie's lack of confidence is explained by this episode. Everything she's ever shown a slight interest in is taken over by her mother and essentially ruined for her. Steven is shown to be mature enough to except that his actions were wrong and not try to force Sadie into doing something that she was uncomfortable with. It reaffirms Steven's selflessness and helps him to grow as a character imo.
You may not but there are plenty of people who do including myself. It's an aspect of the episode that many people believe contribute to it and you have to take that into account if you want to call out somebody's opinion on it.
That's understandable but sometimes you have to recognize that you may be letting your personal feelings on something keep you from being objective.
