Krillin has learnt to control his ki and mind, the aura he now has kind of resembles Goku's SSJB Aura when i look at it. It's calm and controlled, not erratic.

No it's not. Olympic ambassadors represent the sporting events and achievements of the country, the only difference is that Japan is picking from a group of fictional characters rather than real people like previous Olympics.

A mascot cannot be an already existing character.

Either that or they make an entire anime about the olympics with it's protagonist being the main- actually that's not a bad idea.

Y'know, now that you mention it, yeah. Very tightly contained and controlled, close to the body instead of blazing like most of the auras you'd see in Z. I'm curious to see if they run with this come the tournament arc. I mean, nothing says that ONLY the damn Saiyajins get to play with divine energy after all. Obviously a human tapping divine ki or whatnot isn't going to look the same as a Saiyajin doing it... oooh, I hope we get to see some of the non-Saiyajin fighters get some real crowning moments of awesome in this next arc!!

Psychological trauma doesn't listen to reason or logic. And after being savagely killed and/or beaten so many times, it's unsurprising for that fear to be very intrinsically linked to the sight of those characters. Given the flashbacks shown and the way he was behaving, I'd even go so far as to say Krillin was in the middle of a full-blown PTSD-flavor meltdown... which given the crap he's been through, would not surprise me in the slightest.

Though yeah, parts of the episode did feel a bit lazy, though the main aesop about controlling fear rather than being controlled by fear holds up pretty well.
