Okay that's pretty cool!

My favorite song of theirs. Recommended for those who like (surprise surprise) death metal. My copy of the demo has also handwritten number on it, it says 35/100. Friend of mine has 34/100.

Lars Ulrich: Hello, Dave. Look at your band. Now back to mine. Now back at your band. Now back to mine. Sadly, your band isn't mine, but if they stopped playing pure thrash metal and switched to a tough guy version of Motley Crue, they could sell like they're Metallica! Look down, back up, where are you? You're on the high road, taking it higher like a super collider. That album was great. What's in your hand, back at me. Stop making me jealous damn it. :(

I was introduced to metal two years ago, when I found an Iron Maiden mixtape belonging to my dad, one thing lead to another, and now I'm delving into grindcore and Iron Maiden is still my fave band.

I guess you could say I was always into metal, sorta. My mom loved Classic Rock and listened to Classic Rock a lot in the car, and you know how they play glam metal on Classic Rock stations sometimes, so glam metal was the first metal I was really introduced to. I didn't really listen to music a lot as a kid besides when I was in the car, as I didn't really have a choice then.

However, it was around 11 or 12 I was introduced to alternative metal (Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin), and a while after that I discovered industrial metal/New German Hardness (Rammstein), then there was a kind of hiatus until my mom told me about iHeart Radio, so I went to the site and got an account to listen to some of the music I liked, and that's pretty much how I came across normal heavy metal, nu metal, thrash metal, rap metal, funk metal, metalcore (melodic, mostly), Christian metal, progressive metal, dark metal, Gothic metal, and classic heavy metal. When I got a Pandora account a while before I found this thread I discovered a bit of groove metal, Latin metal, and speed metal too.

Thanks to this thread though, I've been introduced to folk metal, power metal, and symphonic metal. There are a few genres I haven't explored or been introduced to yet, though. I tried to like black and death metal, but that was mistake. Besides Amon Amarth I can't think of any death metal band that I was introduced to that I actually liked, and there were very few black metal bands I liked, only one of which comes to mind, Urfaust.

By casual fan I mean "ooh Number of the Beast is so cool I know 3 songs off it and one off Piece of Mind" and haven't even heard the post-reunion era material.
