Okay, my teacher said we have to do songs of protest and that epic Amon Amarth song is invalid because it offends people (Sorry Polska.)

Should I just go with something from RaTM or do you guys have something better that's school appropriate?

>song of protest that doesn't offends people

God I love the left.

Anyways, you could always go with Dissident Aggressor by Judas Priest.

Dissident Aggressor is a protest song?

Quote from Rob Halford:

"It's about the Berlin Wall in 1970 something or other. I couldn't sleep, so I went out for a walk. I went to the Berlin Wall and I walked up on top of a boxy-looking post thing. A watchtower thing. It was in November, it was freezing cold, and I was looking over from West Berlin, which is all brightly lit up - pubs were up and everything. And the East side was just dead. It was pitch black, no lights were on, and there were these Russian guys looking back at me in binoculars. That was the seed for what that song talks about, about 'I know what I am, I'm Berlin.'"

Huh. Neat.

Rexor is ok. The EP should have had less intro more music.

And I couldn't really say at this point.

If that chorus ain't power metal I don't know what is

Close, but not quite. More like symphonic folk/viking metal.

Actually, the chorus does sound a bit power metal. At least how I usually hear power metal. I kind of hear a bit of it all that you all have mentioned.

Just ignore Kar until he understands subgenres.

This isn't metal, its crust punk, but nothing is more protesty than crust punk:

Aus-Rotten - Xenophobia

You're a life saver Cad. Now what is the best song by both?

That's harder one. Can't really say for Accept, but my favorites from Helloween are Murderer, Starlight, Halloween and Keeper of the Seven Keys.

I guess i'll put balls to the wall or fast as a shark on my powerpoint and i can flip a coin between Murderer and Starlight.

Good choices. Now that I think about Accept, I really like Losers and Winners and Midnight Mover.

Because it's so basic it hurts. The songs are good but none are memorable.

So UDO's new album is a stereotypical side project album?

Pretty much. Want music because music? Pass. Want music for background? Go for it. :p

I believe that several in this thread have decided to use the ignore feature on you.

On a different note, I remember seeing something or another a while back about Aztec-inspired black metal. Anyone still have a link to it by any chance?
