I just added Kar and Kia to the ignore list. It's such a cleaner place. But, because he's not always annoying, I'll take Kia off.

Does anyone else listen to Orphaned Land?

I've been really getting into Mabool: The Story of Three Sons of Seven and All Is One this week.

I've heard of the band before, but never cared to listen to them. Since you did post this, I thought that I might as well give some of their songs a listen and to my surprise they sounded pretty damn good. I will definitely be looking more into this band over the next couple of days.

Oh, great... another band to add to my ever-growing backlog. :p

All Is One is my favorite Orphaned Land song and Sahara is my favorite album. They have whole bunch of good songs throughout their entire discography though.

I've given both of them enough chances to cut it off. But since they just kept going on I added them both in there permanently. I'll take them off once one of them becomes an ex-nation.

You know, at least we aren't going through 10 pages a day anymore.

Doomsday Machine is a sad reminder that no matter how hard Arch Enemy tries they still end up making a boring album...or maybe that was their intention.

You know what? Just fuck off.

You're all just pointlessly bitching. We're having normal discussions this time, and yet you're still moaning about "going at it" or whatever. We haven't "gone at it" for quite a while. An argument is not "going at it". You're all just whining over literally fucking nothing now. Just because we're talking to each other on less-than-friendly terms doesn't mean we're "going at it". Stop acting like fucking toddlers.

And I am not annoying.

Kar's got a point. They've toned it down recently and posts solely about Kia and Kar can be just as annoying as their arguments themselves. I like this thread best when we talk about metal and not about each other. So let this post be the last on the topic. And I haven't blocked anybody, for the record.

Good to know. I'll listen to Sahara next. Is that one of their more death metal albums?

My favorite songs by them so far are All Is One, Let The Truce Be Known, Ya Benaye, Birth Of The Three (The Unification), and The Kiss of Babylon (The Sins).

Indeed.

All Is One is one of my favorite folk metal songs.

ALERT: KIACULTA SOMEHOW BROADENS HIS OWN HORIZONS A LITTLE BIT

Earlier today I decided to give some songs from two deathcore bands a listen, those being The Acacia Strain and Whitechapel. And you know...SOME of their stuff isn't THAT bad. The Acacia Strain is capable of making decent songs and the vocal work is decent, while the self-titled Whitechapel album is actually...good? Like, 6.75/10 level good? Sure with both bands they HAVE to ruin too much with obscenely plastic breakdowns that aren't even that creative...and Whitechapel, seriously: You have THREE guitar players yet even in the fucking breakdowns, the simplest parts of your songs, they still play the SAME NOTES??? Come on! The rest of your music is so promising until that!

A Tout Le Monde, Countdown To Extinction, Foreclosure Of A Dream, and Trust are some of mine. I haven't really listened to them in forever, though.

All very good songs. Which version of À Tout Le Monde do you like?

The original, with just Dave.

Agree with you. Youthanasia as a whole is a fairly underrated album, same goes for Cryptic Writings honestly.

Yeah, same. I never really liked the version with the Lacuna Coil vocalist much.

Youthanasia was a great album, Cryptic Writings I haven't listened to besides a couple of songs.

Christina Scabbia is a decent singer, just didn't fit that particular song as well as she could have. And that was more than possible.

we should open a record shop. Finally an underground punk and metal record shop that has every subgenre and fusion/hybrid subgenre pinpointed.

Found out some of the headliners for Download festival next year, and I have to admit I'm keen to see Rammstein again.

I'm excited for the new Draconian album, that's for sure. Besides that, I am not looking forward to much more albums to be released this year.
