What are you talking about?

Oh, okay, apparently he listened to St. Anger.

Poor thing. :(

I'm actually enjoying this album that Cosumar recommended, even with the growls. It sounds pretty fucking epic, and the combination of both harsh and clean vocals is surprisingly good. I would go so far as to say I don't even think this album is even 'meh'. It's better than 'meh'. It's pretty fucking epic.

I don't even mind the growls.

Theres enough clean vocals in here for me to enjoy, and the music is fucking fantastic.

 Glad you like it! How much of it did you listen to?

You can now say you like some death metal.

I like St. Anger
Thus far it''s a C-
Less Lars, more James guitar, less cheesy vocals, less "prog" and more Bob Rock bass
I think Kirk is a natural made rhythm guitarist

The whole thing. I was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did.

And I did like two death metal bands already, Amon Amarth and another one whose name slips my mind. They had cleaner vocals than most death has, so I enjoyed them more.

Though I enjoyed this more than both those bands combined. :p

I'm a depressed suicidal college student neck deep in procrastination and I can find the good parts of St. Anger.

Oh, well that explains it then.

I read a comment on the St. Anger video that said you needed to be "in the right mindset" to enjoy it. Pissed off and depressed, mainly. I mean, it kinda makes sense.

But outside of that it just sounds like garbage.

I'm basically just having a time out. I'll clean my list at some point before 2016.

Yeah don't bother with the rest of their albums. That's about it unless you want to try war eternal

I meant to reply to this earlier, but I didn't have the time.

My dog (German Shepherd) loves metal. After we're done running around through forests and/or fighting each other afterward (I wrestle/spar with my dog, I usually win but get a little bloodied up sometimes), we head up to my room listen to Bolt Thrower. Then sometimes he'll be away and I'll flip my amp on and start playing a few brutal riffs and then he shows up and lays down right next to the amp. And then watches me looking like happy with his tongue sticking out of his mouth.

German shepherd is the only real dog. At some point in the future (not sure how near or distant) I'm going to get myself a cat and a dog. Not sure about which cat, but dog will definitely be a German shepherd. :p

Also, kitties are metal.

how do you wrestle a dog

Usually he jumps at me, I grab him before he can get me, he tries to push his way off, and then it's just a mix of lunging at each other and blocking. If I don't do anything and wait too long he starts barking to try to provoke me into getting at him. Sometimes it works to turn around and go around a corner, and then when he starts chasing after me I ambush him.

anyone know of some school appropriate metal (pref black/death) that conveys a message?

its not homework we just have to choose a song with a message for a project we're doing at school
