I am actually young thug.

Jim Wise mercy killed his wife in a hospital at her bedside.
And he put the gun to his head and it jammed and he didn't die.
He went to trial all summer long and his eyes welled up when he told us about how much she loved the backyard garden and the budding rosebush.

Definitely underrated within the Death discography. Love that album.

Young Thug: I already dig that Necrophagia album, but I'll listen to the other two tomorrow at work. They seem pretty cool on first glance.

Volmachtia: Haha, that's the Album of the Month over at my secondary region Heavy Metal Heaven. Was going to listen to it this month anyways :p I think I'm also going to give When The Sky Turns Black a shot because that album cover is superb.

Out of curiosity do you listen to any death metal besides Death? :p

I've got no room to judge considering I listen to almost no death metal and I worship Katatonia the same way you worship Death, but just wondering.

There are few straight up Death Metal bands I like

There's always something in tech/prog like Edge of Sanity but Dan Swano is not a Chuck Schuldiner cut down in his prime

alright this is going to be tough
My rankings of Immortal's albums after a casual listen of each in succession

1. At the Heart of Winter (in my unbiased opinion)
2. All Shall Fall (my favorite)
3. Sons of Northern Darkness (I feel this is too high)
4. Pure Holocaust (almost perfect)
5. Blizzard Beasts
6. Battles in the North
7. Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism (too low)
8. Damned in Black (this was the easiest)

This was really hard. I'm still probably going to change this up a lot

Before there was At The Gates, there was Grotesque. Grotesque's album In The Embrace Of Evil might be up Cosumar's alley as well.

There is a noticeable amount of people who say that all their albums from Violent Revolution onward sound the same.

Phantom Antichrist is the best Kreator album.

I finally got around to listening to the new Nile. Considering how I wasn't the biggest fan of At the Gate of Sethu...this song was pretty good. I mean, it's not the best thing Nile has done but I was impressed, and actually looking forward to the album now.
Lars Ulrich: Hello, Dave. Look at your band. Now back to mine. Now back at your band. Now back to mine. Sadly, your band isn't mine, but if they stopped playing pure thrash metal and switched to a tough guy version of Motley Crue, they could sell like they're Metallica! Look down, back up, where are you? You're on the high road, taking it higher like a super collider. That album was great. What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's a hard drive with all the private information of the users we banned from Napster. Look again, the hard drive is now Babymetal. Anything is possible when your band reeks of pop. I'm wearing a thong.

Can't say I'm familiar with the more recent Kreator albums. It's good that the band is still going strong, they're one of the older European thrash metal bands. Let's see if I can get a few of their classic eighties albums first before I dive into the 21st century part of their discography.

Szertica just TGed me this. Read with British nobleman accent for best effect.

I have found the greatest comment in the history of the internet.
Once upon a time, good Sir Mustaine roamed the rolling hills, seeking a drummer for his band. There were many drummers in the land, but none so cheap and easily accessible as Shawn Drover, whose brother was already in the employ of the good Sir Dave, and who would play contentedly for a small plate of tacos every once in a while.
"What fortune! A drummer who wants not for fair pay!" quoth Mustaine.
"Ah, but beware, Sir David! What should become of Megadeth, if his drumming is mediocre?" Sir David's squire spoke out of turn, but spoke wisely.
"HOW DARE YOU! YOU'RE FIRED, BUTTHEAD! Who put you up to this?! I bet it was President Obama!!"
"Who is Obama? The President is George W. Bush."
"Oh yeah, he's not President yet... umm... you're fired anyway!! Get out of here you bum! The plate of tacos is yours, Mr. Drover, should you wish it."
"Why thank ye kindly good Sir knight," said Drover, hungrily munching at the tacos, "I will 'umbly bash moi tubs in your service, as best as God will allow."
"Such humility! It is refreshing to meet a serf who knows his station. Come, let us tour! Do you know "Take No Prisoners"?"
"Umm.. no, but oi know "Back In Black" and oi can carry a 4/4 beat good as any man in the nearest four villages."
"Good enough!"
And so Sir David rode off to his studio, the young Drover ambling ably behind his steed.

Many years passed, and the young Drover was proving a very affordable drummer indeed. This set Sir David to wondering: why was his brother demanding dollars, when young Shawn wanted only for tacos? As a great knight, he knew such insolence could not be tolerated, for fear that his mighty rule be undermined. Forthwith, Glen Drover was sentenced to be hanged and replaced by an automaton, the ShredMaster 3000, which wanted no pay and absolutely no creative input. It was the perfect band, and with this glorious lineup, Megadeth recorded the excellent "Endgame". Serfs in the villages complained bitterly that the drums were dull and the guitar solos forgettable, but the good Sir David knew such things were not important, as long as he was still regarded as the genius riff-master and political wit that he was.

The great lineup recorded two further efforts, and they pleased the good knight greatly. However, there were grumblings that Megadeth's music was not what it once was; that it was stale and corny, lacking in any fervour and failing to excite the humours of its listeners. The serfs cried out for Megadeth in the traditional style and, being the wise ruler that he was, Sir Dave sought out The Don Nicholas de Menza and Marty of Osaka, with a proposal that they unite and record an album most veritable. With him he took great offerings of tacos. Such were these tacos that no man could resist - or so the good knight thought. But the ingrate Marty of Osaka wanted only for fresh sushi, and although Don Nicholas loved tacos dearly, he asked that he be given his tacos prior to the recording of a new album. Unwilling to suffer such insolence, the good knight had them sent away, banished to the wastes.

But what of young Drover and the ShredMaster 3000? They would be fired, the good knight decided, for impugning the goodly name of Megadeth with their mediocre musicianship! The good people of the land rejoiced at Sir David's wise counsel, and praised his name. Truly, he was a benevolent ruler.
Siliarba wrote:I stayed out of his way and let him do his thing, but the guy is a monster, a thing worse than cancer that needs to be removed and destroyed.
