England is getting scary (they annexed Brittany of all nations, and still have Calais and Lambourd/Gascony) but France is consolidating its pawns into the Megafrancatron and will likely deal with them sooner or later.

If the Ottomans have invaded the Mamluks to such an extend that they own Jerusalem, you'll never get it.

The Mamluks are weak. The Ottomans are strong - incomprehensibly so. I've seen Kebab go from being an OPM enclave within Byzantium to world superpower in less than a hundred years. You'll never have a successful crusade against a strong Kebab.

I should had invaded the Mamluks earlier. I had a plan to occupy Gaza and the Sinai along with the area for the Suez Canal in order to gain access to India, so I neglected my colonial game. That decision bas bitten me in the arse and now I'm scrambling desperately to colony hop my way into India. America is mostly a loss cause for me at this point, so I'm building up a colonial empire in South Africa (in competition with the Portugese) and Madagascar (which is all mine). In time I plan to move into South East Asia. I'll probably try and take the French colonies, as France is weak is literally down to about three provinces right now as me, Burgundy and Britanny partitioned France before it blobbed.

The obvious solution is to use awesome military power to make kebab weaker.

But yeah. I avoid warring the Ottomans like the plague until about 1600, just as France is usually taboo until about 1750 unless they're at war with all nations between Austria and Zaporozhye and simply don't have enough stacks to deal with the numbers on all fronts.

The best thing is letting England handle the agonies of colonization and colonial wars and just dominating the European trade nodes and siphoning off some sixty units of shiny every month simply because all the colonizers are focusing on each other so that you can protect your own trade in the Channel with relative impunity.
