Why the hell does the Subjugation Saxony CB still exist if the Saxony kingdom is already formed?

Same for another play-through where I had the Kingdoms of Rus and Ruthenia under my control and this asshole Chud guy keeps warring me year after year for the subjugation of Rus. Absolutely no sense.

Forming the Kingdom doesn't deactivate the CBs for Pagans. On Chud; if he keeps warring you, why does he still live? Throw him in the Volga.

Cuz 11 allies come to his aid if I attack.

On his offensive wars, only like 5 answer with a grand total of ~6000 men. Defensive? ~19000 - 21000, which is fucking ridiculous because the Chud ruler is a 11-29-17-10-4 and his heir is a 10-22-15-9-11. Their martial stat's too OP for me.

I have about ~7200 personal levies + ~4800 tribal vassals (I kept them autonomous, simply because none of them are content) + ~4000 from outside allies.

It's not uncommon when Japan wins, but usually the Japs go for their "seize the coast" casus belli and leave china alone afterwards.

Before Japan signed the Tripartite Pact Nazi Germany held quite close ties with Nationalist China and had considered them a potential third member of the Axis after Italy. This is reflected in the fact that NC begins closely aligned with the Axis.

However, after the relatively poor showing of the ROC Army against the Japanese, the Germans withdrew their advisors from China and got all goody-goody with the Japanese instead.
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

Not really, but Nationalist China is pathetically weak in HOI3, i see it get overrun in a matter of months in most of my games. Though usually its just forced to give up the coast.

Also did you get the expansion to have the names show up or are you still using Vanilla?

Maybe I should start playing Eu4 again, stopped playing it after 16 hours in favor of Ck2.

It has to be direct rule, right? So, yeah, AfroEurasia. Africa and Asia especially, their provinces are poorer, therefore cheaper.
I might add Muscovy/Russia to your list of nations to consider.

Da! Glory to the people of Rome!

It felt impressive to reform the Byzantine Empire, but if I have to be completely honest in this AAR, I can't say I achieved it without the help of the hand of God.

I had to restart from my previous game, which involved an impasse and where I turned Greece into a totally irrelevant nation by the 20th century. 1836 start as Greece, once more: you do the usual, you know, annex Johore and Brunei for the precious metals. Tunisia was gobbled up by France, so there went my extra income, but life was still good. I also spammed the prestige techs, which bumped me up to Secondary Power status. I built up my industrial score by going Reactionary and hiring loads of craftsmen. I was still in the British sphere, but that was OK. By 1845, Greece was a good place to live.

The Ottomans declared war on Egypt to reclaim Transjordan, or something, which I estimated was my chance to strike and acquire Greek cores in Crete. An easy victory, naturally, especially with Britain's help. Annoyingly, Britain, apathetic to the tensions between the Ottomans and the Greeks, allied the Ottomans because, you know, why not. Not that that mattered just yet. Greece was now bigger, better, and richer than it was 10 years ago, and with the discovery of Impressionism in late 1850, Greece was bumped up to Great Power status. I was finally out of Britain's sphere. Life was very good.

Tensions arose, and a crisis gave me Thessalia. Britain didn't back me, though, and instead preferred to back the Ottomans. Looking for new GP allies, which I couldn't find since I can only have one and everyone else was already partnered up, I severed my military alliance with Britain. Russia, NGF, France, even Spain or the Netherlands-- rejected, all of them. That is when, sometime around 1855, Britain and the Ottomans attacked me. This bit I didn't want to admit, but you have to understand that I felt like I could only enjoy the game if the challenge was kept alive. I tried fending off my attackers, but I was ravaged, and the UK wanted all of my colonies. . . so I picked up my last savegame, ended the war by ceding Thessalia before Greek Malay was asked for, and ALT+21'd Thessalia back to me. The worst part was that I figured that just one more region wouldn't hurt, so I gave myself Rumelia, too. Oh well. Not a very good AAR, I know, I know. I'm ashamed too.

But yeah, forget about that part, and the rest went swimmingly! I took back the Aegean Islands, allied with NGF after a Great-War-before-Great-Wars-happen when NGF-UK was ended (as well as TWO Austria-Germany Hegemony wars, which NGF both won), and I took back the rest of surrounding Ottoman Empire until all I had left as a core was Istanbul. The Netherlands allied with the Ottomans, and they declared war for Thessalia again, as well as Greek Malay for the Netherlands (who was at the time a secondary power, but still strong). I beat them both, but the warscore only hovered at around 0%, leaning -2% in my favour. None of us had much of an army left, except my 55k stack which was slowly dropping in size. It took FIVE YEARS for that war to reach an end, which was when the Second Hegemony War ended, NGF allied with me, and Netherlands and the Ottomans peaced out for Ottoman Thrace. Before the war ended, huge swathes (total 50k) of Reactionary and Anarcho-Liberal rebels were up in arms protesting God knows what.

That was when the King of Kings, Ruler of Rulers decision greened up, and the Byzantine Empire was formed, promptly followed by Communist rebels.

My world looks pretty odd, to say the least. It's 1875 and Italy hasn't formed, and Russia lost GP status really early, and not only that but Russia lost two wars of Polish liberation, which means that NGF blobbed so bad. It has nice borders, but god that Grey Blob is threatening to its neighbours. Also, I'm the biggest power in Africa, since I managed to participate in that scramble, and we Byzantines are the 5th power in the world. Life is very good. Next stop, Communist rebels take Constantinople, rename it Constalinopolis, and form the Union of the Red Themes!

Asia and Africa alone likely wouldn't get you to 1001. Jihad alone, which requires 500, usually ends up taking Africa and the majority of Asia. You'd either need Europe too or figure out how to do a decent exodus game so you can use up the new world's provinces.

Hurrah! Behold, comrades, the Red Themes!

Established on the 10th of June 1890, after hordes of Communist rebels stormed the capital city of Constantinople, the Absolute Monarch was beheaded and the Byzantine Empire came under the iron grip of the Kommounistiki!

So now what? I have, like, 45 and a half years left to play in this game. What do I set myself as a goal now? Thanks to everyone who helped me achieve this milestone. *wipes tear from eye*

You must now take the world by storm! Spread the revolution and topple the old order!

Red Themes of the World, UNITE!

Arise, ye prisoners of starvation!
Arise, ye wretched of the earth!
For justice thunders condemnation:
A better world's in birth!
No more tradition's chains shall bind us;
Arise, ye slaves, no more in thrall!
The earth shall rise on new foundations:
We have been nought, we shall be all!
'Tis the final conflict;
Let each stand in his place.
The International working class
Shall be the human race!
'Tis the final conflict;
Let each stand in his place.
The International working class
Shall be the human race!
