So essentially it's a choice between being royalty and having a sex life? That's a tough call, man.
I find the caveat in choice number 2 that "you won't have a sexual relationship. However, Celestia's love will be so strong that you won't regret it" a little hard to friggin' believe. I'm gonna have to go with the latter, though. In part because of the benefits of belonging to Equestria's ruling class, and in part because the thought of having an actual sexual relationship with a cartoon pony gives me the willies.

My problem with it is that it kind of defeats its own purpose. The point of a Would You Rather is to set up a dilemma as an interesting mental exercise.

Now, I'm not particularly interested in having sex with any of the Mane Six, pony or human, but even if I was, my choices appear at first to be abandoning my friends, family, and home to live forever/for the rest of my life in Equestria and have a romantic and eventually sexual relationship with one of the Six, or abandoning my friends, family, and home to live forever/for the rest of my life in Equestria and have a caring and kind parental surrogate to minister to my needs and teach me about the intricacies of my new world, possibly even as a Prince, but in return passing on romancing one of the Six. This is fair, they both have drawbacks; going out with one of the Six may go well at first but ultimately end poorly for any number of reasons, while ducking under Celestia's maternal wing comes at the cost of not being able to have a very deep relationship with one of the Elements of Harmony, which may one day give rise to a number of doubts and questions in my mind.

However, on closer inspection, the Celestia option explicitly states that Celestia's love is so deep and abiding that "[ I ] won't regret it", removing the major drawback of the option. Taking this into account, my options become "Throw away everything you've ever known and move to a foreign country on a foreign planet in a foreign universe to have a guaranteed fling with a pony that may be heartwarming and fun but ultimately amount to nothing," or "Throw away everything you've ever known and move to another world, but definitely have someone nigh-infinitely patient, caring, kind, and gentle to show you the ropes, and live out the rest of your days, possibly as a Prince or some kind of high-ranking noble, in joy and laughter and emotional contentment, to say nothing of financial security".

It seems to have accidentally turned itself into a total no-brainer, either because the author simply failed to fully consider both options or because he drastically overestimates the value of horse sex.

I don't think it every actually says that it's motherly love, though. Could be romantic but abstinent, for whatever reason. Taking that into account, along with the facts that I already have parents and would like to get laid before I die... gotta go with numero uno.

You're absolutely right, and I would have to agree about that particular condition ensconced in option #2. Whether or not I find it feasible that Celestia's platonic/parental love would completely make up for the lack of intimate relationships is irrelevant. That it would is a given fact. Therefore, my faith in option #2 is reinforced.

Celestia as a mom. I've lived this long with out a even a romantic relationship I'm sure I'll be fine.

EDIT: as for my choice, most definitely #1. I already have a mother, but no partner atm, pony or non. Choosing which of the mane six, however, will be tough though.
