Altis is the main map in Arma 3. And I'm asking who cares about the graphics. Daggerfall looked like a microwaved shit, but even today remains one of the greatest games ever made.

Graphics generally do matter, but how much they matter depends on the person. I'm willing to take lower-quality graphics if it comes with better story and gameplay; other people may disagree.

FF13 was one of the best movies I've ever played.

The thing was, FF13 as a playable movie was still better than most other crap-shoot RPGs.

FF7 had awful graphics even for the time.

I've never liked any of the FF games, so I can't really say anything about it.

They're all very, very different. The first few are kinda like Pokemon but without any collection. The high era (6-7-8) are kinda like a cross between the first few and Harvest Moon. The most recent titles (13, 13-2 and 13-3) are similar to Baten Kaitos but without the cards.

Eh, it's okay and fun here and there but I couldn't really get into it that much.

FF7's graphics don't matter that much. Every game on the PS1 looked like crap, but I still cherish Parasite Eve. FFIV set the standard for JRPGs for a long time and FFX brought the franchise into the new millenium with an innovative level system and engrossing storyline. FFXIII did nothing of the sort except convince many long-time fans that something was missing from the series at that point. XIII is alright, but it's certainly no instant classic.

It pretty much no longer has the big organized scene it used to, so instead of awe-inspiring megabattles between clans it's just sort of dumbfuckery spawnkilling and exploding everything.

What? I love JRPGs, and spent most of my life playing pre-2005 games. I still rank Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean as one of the greatest role playing games in history, and I've never really been a fan of classical WRPGs like KOTOR or the D&D-based games.

I just didn't find FF7 or 8 to be that enjoyable, especially compared to 1, 13, and the CC one for the gamecube.
