It is 3 in the morning. I just finished my first playthrough of Mass Effect. It was glorious.

I was playing RO2. Russian Side. Station map and say one new player, armed only with a mosin and PPSh, with no reinforcements (Due to them being depleted) hold off a vastly superior German team (Numbers and equipment) until lockdown winning us the match.

By himself. The rest of the team was dead.

Such is life in the service of the mother land.

Hey, the puzzle/easter egg in Moon was one of the clever-est level/quest/things in any action game I've ever played. The fact that you basically need to read a novel's worth of information just to understand what you need to do, and the fact that none of that information is available in game, is worth props for the dev in my book.


But come on. Zombie robot hitler.

Zombies backstory creeps me out for some reason, it's actually pretty good.

The entire zombies storyline was nothing short of fantastic. Until BO2. Everything post-Moon was dumb and I don't consider it part of the canon.

I hated how beam color was tied to a power effect. made me feel locked into certain ways of playing at the expense of pretty colors.

Honestly once you get to high enough stats you can ignore those and just rock whatever color you want.

But I agree, having customization tied to stat buffs was a decent step down from TFU1.

Eh, that's fair enough. One thing that the game isn't very good at is responding to you when you have a super-high DPS.
The first one also had a much better upgrade system.

But that business on Cato Neimoidia doesn't... doesn't count.

I'm ready for another trilogy playthrough, but forgot how much the ME1 Femshep facecodes suck. One of the few facecodes that I've found that works for ME1+2 just does not carry over into 3, so I've been on Faces of Gaming for the past two hours looking for a suitable replacement. Damn you, Bioware.

While there are definitely reasons to not approve of various expansion things (Ahem, EA milking out 10 expansions for The Sims 3), people DO seem to forget that video game companies ARE businesses, and businesses want to, you know, make money.

And honestly a lot of them that have expansions ARE probably trying to keep afloat with them. Not all of them by any means, but a lot of them.

Like Monolith Productions right now after having a bit of a slump is definitely appreciating the income from Shadow of Mordor, and its little expansions right now. Because they hadn't had any good money making thing out in a while now.

It really does depend on the case, though. Like I don't really approve of micro transactions in a $60 video game you already bought, that is freaking UBISOFT of all companies (Assassin's Creed: Unity). Sure, you don't HAVE to buy it, but that just sounds like they're trying to milk out the cash as much as possible. Especially with apparently how much you can freaking spend, which was like $100 at a time.

I wasn't exactly saying I supported them. Hell, I didn't even mention them. I didn't know enough about the case to say anything on them in particular. I was just more making a general statement in reference to what Rob Halfordia said.
