I will give it a Non-Op stamp of Approval, not about the name yet, and maybe too many symbols (lets stick to one for now), but a stamp nonetheless.

Have we decided on origin yet? I was rooting for pacific islands, but the poll shows the majority of people are rooting for Europe.

Animal (if applicable): Some sort of fish or farm animal
Symbol: Three vertical wavy lines, representing three rivers
The above two gods would be depicted as completely separate, brother and sister or the same being depending on the sect of the religion.
[Name], god of: Nature, wild animals, predation and life. (Also, if the setting ends up being the Polynesian islands, this god can be the god of saltwater and the ocean as well.)
Animal (if applicable): Dependant on the region - If Europe, the deer and bear. If Polynesia, the shark and dolphin.
Symbol: A rotting carcass, either a shark or a bear, depending on the region we decide on.
This god would be the brother of the river god mentioned above.

okay. How about yours is more spiritual knowledge/stuff relating to law and magic and interaction
while my god is more physical knowledge/history, mathematics, science and stuff like this.

Well I envisioned my god to be focused around any method of gaining knowledge - since the fictional group that created our religion probably got their beliefs pretty early in human history, "magic" to them would be another way of gaining knowledge, just as valid as science. How about my god is more focused on the gaining of knowledge and information (for example, she would be the patron deity of scientists and explorers), while yours is more about the recording of knowledge? (he would be the patron deity of historians and storytellers)

Real life mythologies tend to have ridiculous amounts of gods as well though. There might be a small number that are by far the most important, but there are usually a ridiculous number of minor gods under them. For example, there are around 1,500 individual Egyptian deities, if I remember correctly.
