Watched Akira the other day after a friend recommended it to me. Honestly, it was an incredibly overrated film that only has good visuals going for it, nothing else is really remarkable about it other than that. I shouldn't have expected much, though, considering it compressed 87 fucking manga chapters into 2 hours of film.

You're most certainly welcome to stay around in this thread, if you want. While most of the regulars here are going to heavily disagree with your opinion on SAO, you shouldn't feel unwelcome because of it.

Friend talked me through the steps and what to do and all that for me to get into the game and have literally everything except my admiral's name be in nip speak. in my confusion with the buttons i ended up going on a sortie with Fubuki and she almost died but i got a new loli ship grill.

As far as the Nip ships go I only have Myogi, Mutsuki, and Furutaka. Can't wait to get Kongou tho, she's a good ship.

To be honest, she was the only decent character from SAO but she's still pretty shit-tier, mainly due what she was turned into in the second half of season 1.

Asuna was one of the few characters in SAO I liked, and enjoyed being around. Mostly cause she had more character to her than 'harem girl of the week'. As I've said before there were a few things SAO did pretty well, but--especially in the second half of S1--the things that it did poorly or just really, really, creepy ruined any enjoyment I had of the show. Like, some of the things they did to Asuna in the Alfheim Arc were almost 'Love Nectar' level of 'Oh god why' for me.
