I honestly love Lelouche as a character. Though I think what happened near the end was very OOC for him and I disliked it.

I don't know if I'll truly like the series or not, I'm on episode 12 at this point (I kinda skimmed the other ones I previously watched to get caught up).

I personally loathe the "I'm always right, I don't care if people around me die because they're pawns to my plan!!" attitude. It's very stale and just boring.

I think it's a cliche done right here and I hadn't seen enough anime with that archetype to be bored with it yet. Honestly the only other one I've ever seen like that was Death Note and they pulled off Light's character pretty well to imo.
Nothing to see here. Move along.

You'll probably see more of that in Suzaku than Lelouch.

Then again come the last part of R2, and they'll realize their folly. One way or another.

The Ruka and Suzuha episodes were just... Ergh... Especially the latter.

I would say ride it out. Lelouch has more depth than a first glance. Even when he does treat people as pawns, it eats away at him a little.

Other than the fact it's basically ep. 1... great animation(Though, since it's a prescreening, it's gonna be better when it airs), and great music.

Got back from EQLA just now and picked up some animu swag. Posters and what not. Ironic since it was a convention for ponies.

Nice. I recently watched the dub and it was actually kinda decent to semi-good after I got used to the voices.

Also that drinking game will kill me but luckily I don't have enough Heineken to give myself alcohol poisoning anyway.

Finally finished KLK. Started out good, turned to shit. As someone said in this thread, it might have been better if it had been shorter.

To be more specific, the first half was amazing, the second half was anything but that. Of course later episodes had some awesome parts but overall they were very lacking.

Marathoned Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage right after that. 5 hours well spent, that shit's excellent. Tomorrow I'll go for Black Lagoon: Roberta's Bloodtrail.

Eh, the only fights that seemed to last longer than needed were the ones in the raid trip arc imo, everything else was fine. Also what needs to be considered is that KLK is also a parody of the action genre in anime, which is why when Trigger pulled the 'I win? lolnope' card (as well as few others, I might add) it was done so in a completely over the top manner that was meant to be insane. Besides, did you not expect the finale of an action anime to have a fight that spanned a few episodes?
