So the 1st episode of the Berserk remake is out, I don't like it. The animation falls into the uncanny valley, especially the movement. Granted the original didn't have very much movement, and each episode had maybe 16 frames total. I might go back and rewatch Knights of Sidonia as a comparison, since that used 3D as well, and I don't remember its animation being cringe-inducing.

What exactly is wrong with it? Too fluid? Too much CGI? Not fluid enough?

They censored it too.

Also, it's not a remake, it's the sequel...

It's Japanese CGI.

Thomas the Titan Engine: I'm not so sure about the fantastical elements of the last few episodes, and it hasn't sold me on Shingeki no Kyojin itself. Still, a fine action show overall. Overall grade: B+

So fun story about the Berserk sequel (Berserk 2016), they skipped/rushed 6-7 volumes of the manga, and went straight from volume 9 (Where the 1997 anime let off) to the end of volume 16.

They skipped: The Black Swordsman arc (Y'know, the arc they were promising to adapt), The Lost Children arc, and part of The Conviction arc.

Why does Japan hate this franchise?
