Plenty of relationships in real life, don't have romantic love strictly speaking, that is one thing that anime seems to have gotten right.

My own parents don't love each other anymore. There was a time that they did, but with age they just grew apart. There isn't any hate either. Unlike most people these days, they can tolerate the other enough to stay together and not formally divorce. But they do otherwise go their separate ways and do their own thing.

It kind of does make sense because remember, Sakura Haruno is a terrible enough of a character to have never gotten over her crush on Sasuke Uchiha, so that makes sense on her end. As for Sasuke, he recognized that he still needed to rebuild his clan after having gotten his "revenge" and finished going through all that he did wind up doing. He merely took the path of least resistance and settled down for Sakura- who was a woman who was readily available and still liked him, with everyone else in Konoha not being any good prospect for him.

From what is depicted at least, it doesn't seem that Sasuke is very much into Sakura in a romantic sense. It is more accurate to say that he merely settled for her. Once Sasuke got Sakura pregnant, he left to go travel the world to keep doing as he wished. She was merely a means to an end for him. He has an official heir in Sarada, but he could also have fathered illegitimate children while on his travels- this probably won't become canon but it would be a possible direction the manga could take.

...You basically summed-up everything I hate about this pair. No love, no actual affection, and all they do is wreck everyone around them. Just like Daisy and Gatsby in The Great Gatsby.

You sir, I applaud.

Should have been Sakura and Lee, but then again Lee was always too good for Sakura and TenTen really was a better choice...even if she should have been with Neji.

Meanwhile, Sasuke should have died in the fight with Naruto. The fact that he survived that long into the show means the show itself was rigged to ridiculousness, in Sasuke's favor. He should have died in Season 1, protecting Naruto from Haku.

Killing off characters with little development to try to create emotion from the viewer is bad writing (One of the main Reasons I hate Gundam IBO).

Also, no, he's just as if not stronger than Naruto, it's not surprising he lived.

Eh. I see your point. Nobody would have missed him that early on. Then again, I don't think anyone would have missed him if he had died at the end of the series, either. Sasuke would have been one of those deaths where some might cry, but considering the damage he caused just by being the insane brat he was, most would cheer.

But he wasn't bad at that point, hell, the audience barely knew him at that point, yet he showed promise as the arc went on.

Yet again, it wouldn't be good writing, and Naruto pt. 1 was actually decently written, so yeah...

Finished Haifuri and Flying Witch.

Haifuri: For all its faults, an excellent action show. The could have done with a second cour to expand things, and the large cast kind of makes it difficult to develop them evenly (and keep track of them), but still a worthy entry in the cute girls doing military stuff genre. Overall grade: A

Flying Witch: On the one hand, it's a very nicely done slice of life show with a magical twist. On the other hand, I would have liked to see more focus on Makoto's magic as well as more background on magical lore. Still, I'd call it a must-see for fans of slice of life. Overall grade: A

Saw the second episode of Mobile Suit Gundam:Thunderbolt. Regarding the Gundam pilot:
You fucking snake!
Humans are monsters, we will never change, we will always want to claw out the throats of those with a difference in opinion, we will never be in an age of peace because of our lust for war, poverty will continue to exist as long as monetary needs exist. The ending of Luluco was fantastic, along with one of the best high-fives I have ever seen. And apparently Little Witch Academia is getting a show,
My opinion of Kiznaiver has remained effectively unchanged. Honoka remains the best person in that show:
"Yay, the power of friendship!" - Multiple Characters
"You're not my friends..." - Honoka
It annoyed me that everyone else's relationship stuff got stuffed in after the bridge scene, effectively the end credits. It really should have been worked into the main story, and not tacked on at the end.

Also, did Yuta even do anything? I mean, I liked him and all, but I am positive he was just kind of there and did nothing of consequence.
Britanania wrote:Just watched Baccano! and I thought it was masterfully done. Much better than Durarara!!

I do concur, not involving high school students helped.

The entire Kiznaiver series ending in 12 episodes, that's about 13 less than Attack on Titan... SEASON FREAKING ONE.

They should probably revise the story and have a shot at it again because I truly thought it had potential.

Haifuri. What can I say? Girls and Panzer Battleships, minus the slapstick. This time, they're not playing Warthunder or World of tanks, but World of Warships. OP Musashi alert. Not bad, 7.5 out of 10.

Edit: bonus point for the artwork.

My favorite part by far has to be that goddamn opening theme.

It is unlike anything I have ever heard before an anime.

It's like "Guess what, bitch? It's hump day. For your ears. And for anime in general."
