Acurate looking early model Panzer IVs in the appropriate era...I'm impressed.
So it's a magical girl anime about fighting Nazis?

What can I say? Awesome.... A deep, intricate story which is simply to elaborate to explain in a few lines. Suffice it to say that it revolves around different factions who all battle for surpremacy against each other and they all use contract killers with supernatural abilities in the process. Go and watch it, as it is easily the one of the best series I have seen this year. Artwork is somewhat meh, as I've seen better, but that doesn't take away the quality of the story. 8.5 out of 10. No 9 out of 10 though. Half a point penalty due to the artwork.

Finally, I have found a compatriot who appreciated this as much as I did.
All that aside, for me the fact that the art was kind of. . . flat didn't actually hurt the story so much as mean you had to rely more on soundtrack and tone-of-voice cues, which I enjoyed. Not claiming that was a conscious choice on the part of the animators by any means, though.
November 11 remains the only character I've ever cosplayed at a con.

Glad you appreciateded it as well. I was surprised it got so little love on this thread, the same for Kara no Kyoukai. November's impeccable white suit...

So far, only a few other series have been added: the Fate series, Upotte, Sabagebu, Stella's C3 Class, Ghost in the Shell Arise the movie and Girls and Panzer movie + OVA, so all in all not an enormous list in a decade.

OK, took me a while and I remember some things, but here's my list. It doesn't include some moviesAoi Yori Aoshi

Blue Submarine No.6
Boogiepop Phantom
A Certain Magical...whatever, Index or Railgun? I'm not sure.
Clannad
Coppelion

Darker than Black
Denno Coil *Hard Sci-Fi
Detroit Metal City
Dokuro-Chan
Eiken
Fantastic Children
Fate/Stay Night, the first TV version

I've cut meaner onions than that overrated melodramatic trite, it just didn't get to me for being really cheesy. Though, tbh, the only anime that's ever made my sob in sadness has been Now and Then, Here and There; it's like "Animated World Masterpiece Theater meets Hotel Rwanda".Luminesa wrote:Also, which NGE movie did you not like?
I didn't mention that...did I?
