I didn't watch more than 5 minutes in, so I just assumed that her role was a Tsundere.

In this case, yes. At least Lightning Bitch doesn't straddle Touma on his bed, then calls him a perv when the trip and fall gag happens.

Now I am. Trust me, I agree with Accelerator in his use of "that brat" as a descriptor.
Touma puts up with the females' shit, whereas Accelerator feels free to harass them and ignore them, which makes me far less likely to roll my eyes and want to punch him in the throat.

I sure ain't no fan of the archetype. With the half-assed exception of Taiga Aisaka's or Asuka L. Soryuu's background, most are pretty much boring copy+paste copies of each-other.

Kotonon and the Belgian Waffle Guy are way sexier in my opinion.

And I really would like to see a "tsundere" done in a grittier way, it doesn't have to go to the dramatic and suicidal extremes of Eva; but I certainly wouldn't like a Misaka or a Louise.

If they aren't appealing, there are a bunch of them. Supposedly there's this thing called the "Gain-Loss Effect" which helps explain emotional satisfaction in "gains" when it comes to interpersonal interaction, but it beats me.

Away from my typical over-analysis of anime, the most recent thing I viewed was Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman. It wasn't award-winning material but it wasn't bad. On a whole it was entertaining; though I think the secondary characters (Hans von something, the miko/kunoichi Kanade, and the perverted old man) were more amusing than the primary ones. I liked the Monkey Punch inspired style; then again, the characters are his. Their design at least.

It was oddly funny envisioning Commodore Perry as an evil cyborg with a laser-shooting dreadnought though. And I thought Dai Shogun butchered the Bakumatsu period.

I'm watching some of the Winter season shows. Ikuhara's Yurikuma Arashi, for instance. Also watching Assassination Classroom, Rolling Girl, and Death Parade.

Rewatching Cowboy Bebop on the new Blu-Rays, as well as some not-so-good stuff like Virus Buster Serge for my anime review show.

Psycho-Pass right now
So far I'd say it's definitely better than the average anime. The concept is alot like a dystopian novel and the anime isn't saturated with random sexual innuendo.
I recommend Stein's Gate if you haven't watched it yet though, among the best I've watched.

I watched the FMAB movie The Sacred Star of Milos last night. It was a bit mediocre. It just felt like an extra-long episode of FMAB, and not one of the better ones at that. Still, it held my interest.
