Anyways, I'd side with Granny Smith on this one for two reasons. First, Winter Wrap-Up was from the first season. Generally, the writers don't have a clear understanding of the universe that early, and ideas are still solidifying. Therefore, any contradiction with later episodes should be simply ignored. The more recent the episode, the higher the priority in determining canon. Second, Twilight reciting a fact is unimportant while the entire episode revolved around Granny Smith being there for the founding. That must happen for the episode to work.

They were tolerable at some points. Second was definitely an improvement, but it's hard not to be...

Wait, they're bringin' Bionicle back? That shit used to be my jam. I got a few of the blue ones, but mostly I liked to take them apart and build, like, articulated poseable dinosaurs and dragons and junk like you couldn't with "regular" legos.Tokuopolis wrote:Anybody else notice that FiM and Bionicle have lots in common?
With the revival, I'm just noticing lots of links between the franchises. Given that several voice actors (E.g. Tabitha st. Germain, Kathleen Barr, Scott McNeil, Andrew Francis etc.) are shared between the franchises and the fact the Lauren Faust herself said she took inspiration from boys cartoons (she mentioned GI Joe and Transformers, probably because she is working for Hasbro), it's very likely that FiM takes inspiration from Bionicle.

(Sorry if this has been mentioned before, it's just interesting to me, as a fan of both).

Well hot diggity damn, I know what I want for giftsmas. I mean, aside from that Kazookaphone I just ordered for myself. And maybe a computer that isn't 4 years old...Tokuopolis wrote:Dragoria wrote: Wait, they're bringin' Bionicle back? That BLEEP used to be my jam. Yeah. (sorry, I'm not used to including URLs). There is another forum about the revival, and there is info on LEGO's official website.
