Actually no, it might have help solidify it a bit, but I did not create my headcanon based on Fluffle Puff.

Well, what would be the correct term?

I don't think there's a biological term, because the only comparable real life interspecies relationships I can think of is between us and the various things we extract milk from. Victim works, because the changelings in the show have been universally hostile, but wouldn't fit in the context of a fanfic in which somepony allows themselves to be fed on.

Was it painful in the show? I recall Shining Armor having headaches, but I'm pretty sure that was just because he'd been working 'round the clock to shield an entire city and the magic comes from his head.

Pain is a relative term. Though it deliberating effect would probably have been better.

I'm not sure the humans-animal milk producers relationship is the best way to explain the pony-changeling relationship. We are taking something from their bodies to nourish ourselves, but milking doesn't seem to harm the milk producers nearly as much as changeling feeding. I do admit that the changeling-pony relationship might not quite be parasitism, depending on your definition, but I'm not sure what else we'd call it.

I know all about the subjectivity of pain, but from what I can remember, Shining Armor didn't seem to display any signs of actual pain at all, outside his headaches. His other signs seemed to suggest some sort of fatigue.

"Victim" or "source", depending on willingness?

Fluffle Puff is weird, but have you seen her in anthro? It's rather beautiful....

You know, one of the things that A Canterlot Wedding never fully explained is how important "love" is to regular ponies. (#008 in Problems With the Episode that I Should Care About If I Were Honest With Myself But Really Don't) It's possible that it operates more like magic-- something that a pony can actually live without (see the S4 finale) but the lack of it is some sort of the equivalent of losing one's soul/moral compass/etc.

I'm not. If somebody's singing about something happy at six in the goddamn morning, I'm fairly certain that makes me a murderer.

You know, after having to get up at 4:30 in the morning so that I can be at work at 5:30 in the morning, I probably wouldn't mind having one of the Princesses sing sweet songs at me to wake me up in the morning.
