Long live the Global Liberation Army!
Leader of NS Hoofington Reapers

In this world we stand for what we love, for what is right and for our rights. If you don't stand for either one of these you don't stand at all. You're crippled mentally. Your rights give you your life, that life gives you the right to stand for what is right for the world and one of those rights in the world is standing strong for those you love and what you love as a whole.

Both good songs.

Faschist Deutsch Reich wrote:I love this song despite it falling into the "soft shit" category of "In Flames", though it still isn't as good as the stuff from "Clayman" etc. "Siren Charms" is meh with crap like "Rusted Nail" and "Everything's Gone", but there are a few great songs that make the album half respectable. All in all I hate the bad rap the band gets though... just because they changed their style from Melodic Death to Alternative, it doesn't make them shit.

I agree. I like at least a few songs from every In Flames album. Rusted Nail is awful, but there were several genuinely good songs on Siren Charms. Nothing they do will ever come close to The Jester Race, Colony, etc., but the new material isn't as bad as trve metalheads say. Hell, I think Reroute To Remain and Soundtrack To Your Escape are better than Lunar Strain.

Anyways,
Eluveitie - Carnutian Forest

I'm starting to like Eluveitie's instrumental folk music more than their metal.

Definitely right about all those points. I can see where the haters are coming from as In Flames virtually morphed into a different band over the years... if I was a fan from the beginning I suppose I would be pissed too. But these people are so narrow minded and just keep saying "RIP In Flames" and that "Jesper left because the band sucks". What I don't understand is that they compare the Alternative metal albums to the Melodic Death albums... of course none of the new albums will compare to the old ones, anyway if they want to hear an album that sounds like "The Jester Race" all they have to do is listen to that album.

To finish my rant I will conclude by saying that "Where the dead ships dwell" is one of their best songs.

What I am listening to:

Song: "Where the dead ships dwell"
Band: "In Flames"

Fucking magical song...
