New Daleks: The colour scheme is a lot better, and the fact that they are huge (and can disintegrate other Daleks) is just awesome.

Episode rating: 10/10!

Anyone got any ideas where the next crack in the universe will appear? It would be hilarious if it was on a Weeping Angel.

I prefer the old colour schemes of Silver, grey, red, Light and Dark Gold, Black and white.
Not keen on the redesign

:lol2:

Epic classic clip. Wanna see the SpecWeps Dalek make a return, big style.

Also, in that clip, does anyone know the second piece of music used? The first is from "All the strange, strange creatures" but I can't place the other music.

Damn, you're right, it is. Thank you for that :D

Currently listening to the Dogfight music, which means I have had that clip playing almost continuously on the iPlayer :D

Urgh.

I'm such a traitor. Leaving my baby (this thread) and its son (the off-site forum) ignored. Well, that's what RL does to you. :P

I wasn't really impressed with Smithy in the first episode, he was trying to be DT just too much. The Beast Below was okay I guess, but Victory of the Daleks was excellent!

But those new Daleks? Hmm, not so much.

Lol.

Myself, I love the new daleks. They're just so... Sexy! So bright and colourful, cheerful, big, strong... Wow. I love them.

I see the Doctor's machine still isn't working. I don't think it makes for a fantastic plot device, but it was probably quite necessary for the story to work properly. Also, I wasn't too keen on the flying Spitfires, and I think the action from then on progressed too quickly. All of a sudden, the android is a bomb, all of a sudden, the Doctor can take down the shields. It would have been better as a longer program, or for some parts to have been removed. I really didn't like Pond's moment at the end where she asks for the key off Churchill. It would have been a line better off said by the Doctor. (I did like the idea of Churchill being after the key, though).

One wonders if it is plot or merely a reference to earlier doctors who were also always late...
But plot indeed seems likely. Cracks in the universe, people not remembering things that happened, the Tardis always being a few years/months off...

Well, they do need a plot. And by the sound of things from Confidential, the Daleks aren't going to be the baddies for this season's finale.

Anyway, the return of River Song on Saturday :eyebrow: Looks good.

Really? That an interesting development- I didn't even know they were making another SJA series. How did you find this one out, Kippers?

Hmm I thought this new Weeping Angels one was nowhere near as intense as the first, but was pretty good i suppose. Definitely better than the new Dalek one-i just found that silly. What with Winston Churchill meeting some daleks (daleks AGAIN -_-) shamelessly biggin' up British national pride, space planes and finally the daleks turning into power rangers. Nice colours I suppose. But still...
Also, as cool and interesting as Amy Pond is, I'm mildly annoyed that the Doctor's companion is once again a female human from the 21st century. C'mon... can't we get a genderless almost unimaginably different being from the other side of the universe millions of years ago? Just a thought.

Sorry about the rant, I do think Doctor Who is great and the new Doctor rather good too. As well as Amelia Pond. And look! It's that woman with the TARDIS book!
But Winston Churchill? With the Daleks? Just why?

The Space Planes were actually pretty awesome. But I agree with the Daleks thing. Use them sparingly, like once every couple of seasons. They've been 'destroyed' so many times now it's getting ridiculous. I thought the atmosphere that was created in this weeping angels one was very well done.

I don't think River can be The Rani due to the Doctor know The Rani on Galifrey. Or she's hiding that very well.

Also:

According to the British Newspaper The Telegraph in April of 2009, it is reported that X-Files co-star Gillian Anderson is being lined up to play the role as The Rani in the 2010, as it is reported to play the role opposite to Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor.

If you're trying to say Ace/Rani/Susan are hot, then I can't agree with you. :p

The Romanas are okay I guess, but in my opinion, the "hottest" of-world non-human companion was Leela. :p
