Give me another rainbow coat or cricket whites.
How about a lab coat over a medieval tunic?

I have watched a fair bit of both the classic series and the new series (I was introduced to the show by a online reviewer named Nash who would riff some of the bad episodes from the classic era), but I can safely say I am no expert on the dr. who mythos. However, one thing is starting to confuse me about the relation between the old series and the new:
Is the doctor still half-human like he was in the movie?
Apparently the new series has acknowledged the 1996 TV movie as canon, confirming that the 8th incarnation of the doctor was, in fact, Paul Mcgann, but would that also apply to the idea the 1996 movie proposed saying that the doctor was half-human on his mother's side?
Thanks.

NO.
I hope I answered everything.

I'm partial to Option E, myself. Which is a pity, because Eight is great.

Could it be that the Doctor lied for some reason?

Listen, if you look at Capaldi and your immediate thought is "Damn it, he's straight!", it may be time for some introspection.

It's just the Britta Perrys of the Doctor Who fan community calling small idiotic details racist sexist or homophobic when they aren't at all and even if they were it'd be nothing in comparison with real racism sexism or homophobia they could be actually organising stuff against.

I wouldn't mind a non-"standard" Doctor, in race, sex, or sexuality (though why it matters if the Doctor is heterosexual or not, I don't know - that doesn't change anything about the character, who has his own sexual preferences), but I see no reason to campaign for it.
They chose a very distinguished actor who only occasionally screams bloody murder at politicians - no matter what "side" of the nonexistent debate you're on, even if you didn't want an older Doctor, how is that not, in of itself, cause for celebration?

Oh God.
I don't pretend that Moffat is some kind of social revolutionary, but he's not sexist (or at least not to any major extent). He writes about the Doctor, who is male, and likes to write fairy tales about him - so, is it a bit strange that Amy is obsessed over a man? Yes, but that's how things work in fairy tales. If Peter Pan left her behind, Wendy would have trouble forgetting.

"Blink" had a female protagonist who was the most competent character in the episode.
That doesn't seem like something a hard-core sexist would write.
But Moffat was a much better writer then.

We're going to be very disappointed when he doesn't actually talk like this.
