What? :eyebrow:

If anything, Tennant was more a "lord" and Smith is more a "warrior".

But I wouldn't call Matt Smith, Bearer of the Fez, Destroyer of Worlds, anything resembling a soldier.

Given the ultimatum between Sherlock and Dr. Who, Cumberbatch is a better Sherlock but, had it been possible I would have liked to seen him do the Doctor

According to IMDB, Capaldi has an Oscar. As far as I know, this is the first time an Oscar winner has played the Doctor.
"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

My question was directed at the first paragraph, not the second.

I'm thinking about Capaldi doing the "magic line" speech from the audition scripts.

An angry Doctor? I could deal with that.

I base my assertion of Smith being more lord like because of how often the words "the mention of his name" and how often he scares people off vs. Tenant who more of a tendacy to fight

Ten saw himself as a god.

Eleven knows other people agreed.

There's a bit of a difference - Eleven is too self-loathing to be a "lord".

Smith wasn't suitably strange for you to consider him "inhuman"?
Smith was certainly much more alien than Tenant.

Smith was certainly much more alien than Tenant.

And Cumberbatch and his tendency for playing the sociopath would make a far more alien Doctor than both of them combined

To be fair, Star Trek.

But he also, apparently, played an Indian in that - so Cumberbatch can do anything.

Ok.

Y'all need to watch The Last Enemy. 5 episode mini-series starring Cumberbatch, Robert Carlyle and Max Beesley. It is superb.
