I think it was in the early '90s that the BBC discovered that about 70% of all Doctor Who fans were gay males. I'm wondering if the demographic has changed.

I'll join! I love Doctor Who. Mind you, I've only seen Nu-Who. I'll be a regular member, but feel free to telegraph me if you need anything.

I absolutely loved David Tennant, and his Doctor, in one of those obsessive, fangirlish ways. I need to wait and see Eleven to see what I think. His introduction went as well as could be expected, but I was too busy crying to notice, really. I am concerned that he's already kissing Amy Pond, punching someone, and toting a gun. I really don't want him to become a womanizing, violent man. *sigh*

I'm not sad to see Rusty go, though. He can't pull off the massive things, really. For example, I love SoD and LotTL, until the last twenty minutes of LotTL. Though I did like any and all Master/Doctor interactions. Yay for slash. ^_^

End of Time is pretty much old series. We're talking about the trailer for the first full Smith episode

Sure, I'll take a title. I can be a Timelady before they got all eeeeeeeeevil! Although, I don't know too much about them, except that they were all stiff all the time.

I know! I realise that each Doctor has to be different, but still, really?

Communist Winnipeg wrote:OK, so 'fess up. I'm straight, but at most Doctor Who conventions (at least the two I went to in the late '80s) most of the fans were gay. And with the Jack Harkness character, I'm guessing the Doctor still has more than a few gay fans - anyone want to come out?

I'm bi, if that counts.

Just wondering, does anyone get bothered when people refer to The Doctor as Doctor Who? Whenever anyone does, it always makes me shudder in revulsion. "So, David, you've played Doctor Who, correct?" I always wanna scream to the TV that he didn't; he played The Doctor.

Its annoying. Though for the First-Fourth Doctor, the credits always said Dr. Who or Doctor Who. Fifth Doctor got The Doctor. But then they reverted back to Doctor Who for Sixth to Ninth Doctor. The Tenth Doctor then got The Doctor.
