As unsettling as watching Tom kill one?

Tom kill one what?

It was surprisingly graphic, actually, for the 80's - there's a scene towards the end that would make the CIA scream cruel and unusual punishment. The techno music will make you want to stab the composer in the face, though.

An assassin.

An assassin.

I've never seen what you mean.

He just sort of drags the guy off-screen, we hear screams, and then he comes back wearing his hat. It's rather out of character.

Go watch The Deadly Assassin. Fantastic serial, and features Baker deliberately try to kill someone twice.

Really? Definitely going to have to watch that now.

I've been meaning to, but decided to watch The Five Doctors and a serial from Six and Seven (the only Classic series I hadn't seen by then) first. I remember someone (Floor Kippers, I think) mentioning Attack of the Cybermen as one of Colin's few good ones, but upon researching it, I realized it needed the precedent of Resurrection of the Daleks first. It's quite continuity heavy, given that it was made for the 20th anniversary.

I plan on watching the movie at some point and a lot of Seven's episodes - it is my understanding that they're quite good.

Watching The Curse of Fenric now (couldn't find Remembrance). Holy shit, that's a trippy opening sequence.

British English spoken with a German accent using YouTube quality audio is a son of a bitch.

Plus, the BBC has a habit of deleting random parts of the story from the middle, to force you to buy overpriced DVDs.

I don't think they got to the website I'm using - but they did it when I was watching Series 1 on YouTube, which I've mentioned before.

Overpriced? Ha! Worth.Every.Penny.

Also I refute the fact that I said AOTC was Good, I said Okay. Varos is Much better, and The Two Doctors, and Revelation of the Daleks.

$100 for a complete new series or between $40 and $100 for an serials isn't over priced? I wish I had your money.

I'd make a note about the excessive price being a reason to torrent, but that would be promoting illegal activity. Also the fact you can't find torrents for any of the old serials as well.

Welcome to Australia. Actually, there might be a couple of serials for $30 or so, but most are way more expensive. The $100 ones might have 3 serials, but they're often not from the same series or doctor. I refuse to buy anything until prices get more reasonable/it becomes easier to collect a particular doctor.

As I live in the UK I don't have to pay nearly as much as that. 50 Pounds for Series Boxsets and anything from 15 to 8 pounds for Classic Who Stories.

Even then that seems a bit steep. That would make a new series box set, what, $70
AUD? I can get Game of Thrones for fifty.

Curse is actually genuinely creepy, even if I already knew what was going to happen.

We need more episodes like that.

EDIT: Since moved on to Battlefield. It's awesome, in an insane way.

Something about the way a Sontaran says that they want to invade the Moon utterly convinces me he'll do it. Also, as this is set before Demon's Run for Vastra, does that mean she'll be really confused when he turns up later with a totally different personality?
