Apparently, Space Engineers is free for the moment.

Is it any good in terms of gameplay? I kind of wanting to download it, but space is not exactly my type of genre.

I've got it on steam, however i'm not sure if I'd recommend it, its more of a not-take-things-seriously game that a take it seriously game. It's still very broken, however it's come a long way, they just recently added survival gamemode. But if it's free, you might as well get it,

If the game was on that state, Rome 2 wouldn't have that sort of backlash.

It felt like we got half the game promised for full price. The game has some sections that were obviously cut for DLC (I blame activision), and the events we've gotten so far have been reskinned bounties and campaign missions. Not only that, but multiplayer is essentially two game modes, and broken at that.

That aside, I have nothing better to play, and'll probably keep doing so until Destiny dies.

Eh. it could be worse.

As a Origin user, I find it more user-friendly than Steam. Works pretty damn well for a game launcher.

Also, Space Engineers is only free for the whole weekend.

So yeah, you still have to pay for it if you want to continue playing after the weekend ended.

I'm not sure why they didn't, honestly.

It feels like they sold their soul. A lot of Bungie's talent also left because of Activision, which didn't help.

If it being locked to 720p and having no graphics options counts as good, then yes.

You'll have to mod it to play it at a higher resolution.
