Congratulations to the winners.

Also, I just checked, and I am pretty sure the story I submitted for this one has been the best judged... taking over from the winter/summer 2012 story.

Yeah, your writing has gotten better with practice. For one thing, you've gotten better at making it clear when the stories are meant to be silly. Early on, you were writing things that were too weird to taken seriously, but it wasn't clear that you were being purposely silly, so people just went "The fuck is this?"

You haven't seen some of the ones I haven't submitted. I think I described one where the main character watches a dozen episodes of Spongebob and starts needing a therapist. It's meant to be serious.

OK... Well, I have still noticed an improvement in your writing since we first started seeing each other in A&F.

Characters: 9/20
Plot: 10/20
Setting: 4/10
Creativity: 10/15
Style: 13/20
Grammar and Spelling: 5/5

Bonus points: 7

Comments: Very interesting story, despite the lack of a name. :p it didn’t fit the rubric well because of the lack of really defined characters, but I thought it was very well written.

FINAL SCORE: 58

I can live with that.

Congrats to the winner(s)!

Still could've done without the allusions to me not have deserving the first place, though... that's not really good form.

I was only joking. Don't take it personally, I am genuinely happy for you. I never expected to do as well as I did, truth be told.

Do you think I thought a court transcript would manage to place third? Part of the reason I entered that is because it fucks the scoring rubric.

However, it does so gracefully and smoothly, like a lover caressing their significant other.

I've had entrants in the past with different types of structure, so it wasn't a big deal for me.

Nice try though. :P

Well, you know. Gotta drop some red herring characters if you want to pull off a stealth protagonist that's hiding in plain sight.

Part of the reason. The main reason was I really liked the idea of a scribe furiously recording events while the city was under attack.
