So, some backstory for one:
The Purge: Anarchy (if you haven't seen it/heard of it) is a horror movie in which in some Dystopian future, all crime is legal and encouraged for 1 time a year for 12 hours each, the only rules being: No killing high ranking govt. officials and no weapons like Rocket Launchers or above.

The actual stuff:
About a day or two ago, people in Louisville, Kentucky, began posting flyers of a real life "Purge" going on in and around the city.
After taking off on Social Media, similar stories and fliers have been posted in California, St. Louis, Detroit, Chicago, Jacksonville, and Miami. Obviously, as with most widespread threats, the police is taking this as a serious problem.

So, what do you think NSG? Is this just a prank gone to far, or is this something more?

I personally think there might be some vandalism in the small amount of people who do it, but nothing much that a happy window repair company and some spray-paint remover can't fix.

On that note, Hollywood, when you make a movie with a scientific basis mixed in, make sure the idea actually makes fucking sense, or has any grounding in the field of science is in.

It worked in the movie because the U.S was not a republic in the slightest anymore. aAtleast following the second U.S Constitution being implemented.
