You know I was originally going to do my honors thesis on a comparison of rebel groups that used tactics meant to win hearts and minds versus those that rely on the fear of terrorism to succeed. Not exactly a friendship report, but how actualy trying to be friendly to people was more effective than fear. However the thesis was found to be too much of a political science question, rather than a historical one, evin if I showed most of the rebels from past conflicts.
