So it's Rap rock? It's actually a fairly popular mainstream genre.

This may be more hip hop than rock, but I always thought it had sort of a rock sound to it...so I thought it might be the same song.

Puddle Of Mudd - Psycho

Alt hard-rock, from the album Famous

Nickelback - Edge of a Revolution

Post-grungey hard-rock, typical of Nickelback, but this a political song, which sets it apart from their earlier material. Currently released as a single, to be released as part of the upcoming album No Fixed Address

Sugarhill Gang, Rapper's Delight.

Normally, I don't like rap music. But, given the fact that this song is over thirty years old, I'm not sure that it's anything at all like rap music today.

There's plenty of good hip-hop/rap music now. But just like with anything, you tend to have to look beyond the radio play stuff
