It's called acting. He was playing a game of pretend. He never cared for her, as he specifically stated. He only acted like he did as a part of his insidious plot to marry into and then murder the royal family, making himself sole ruler.

It's called PRETENDING. ACTING. LYING. They spell it out in the movie that it was all an ACT to get her to TRUST HIM.

Still shots from the upcoming short. Apparently, yes, Elsa does still walk around in that dress the majority of the time. She does change her clothes at one point though.

Oh frozen! Anna is awesome, and i would have been viciously angry with Elsa had she thrown me out. "then maybe you should leave." fine then, goodbye! being there held her down anyway. it was way past time she explored the world a bit! though i get elsa's point. she had a really rough time as a kid.
