I've begun a game as Ishmael, Catholic Count of Yohogania, who rules from Pittsburgh atop what I've just dubbed "the Iron Throne", because not a single damn one of you can stop me.

Within a month, the Men in Black had already taken Langley, which is - as with anything involving J. Edgar Hoover - deeply troubling.

I'm busy integrating myself into the court of Transalleghenia, making myself essential to them with a brief stint as Steward and now as Marshal, all while charming the goddamn skirts off their unmarried female Oligarch. I can't marry her, because she's a Rust Cultist, but with any luck I can still become her paramour.

My hope is to get their support against West Allegheny somehow, so that I can expand. But the chances of that are slim, so I'm busy building alliances with the Pope and the King of nearby Deutschrei, the Pennsylvania Dutch Anabaptist kingdom which controls most of the Commonwealth.

Also, I lead a failed crusade for Louisiana, which is just fun to put on your résumé.

Everything was going well for the Tennessee Valley Authority, wife had a child, realm grew, etc. but for some reason, after conquering Carthage, my army size decreased from 2300 to 800, so everytime I get to this one point, Kentuckiana declares war on me and curbstomps me with his 2100 deathstack. May have to restart and eventually become the Tennessee Valley Authority instead of starting. Kind of mad, because I had actually found a good looking wife, which is really hard in CKII. However, I did make a very good character, so I will do that in the future.

Meanwhile, a strange easterner declares that our Saint-Empress is not who she seems, and threatens to usurp the throne.

Yeah, Charles there snagged a somewhat hot concubine and well....she aged while he was away on campaign. and like the shallow douche he was, he cast her aside..................painfully.


So I snagged three concubines of rather spiffing age & "physical benefits"(hehehehehehehehehe) and got an arseload of children within a few years. Well, suffice it to say his son Howard has taken the reigns of the kingdom and done marvelous things with it. Even going so far as to pillage the Ursaline church's central abbey itself! Because yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah money.

I don't know. Anyways, it can't hurt for her to like me - my plan is just to grow silently and then declare my independence once I have enough for the duchy. My liege lady doesn't have a kingdom title, so there shouldn't be a war.
