I started as the Migonids in New England. I've become the main power in the region and I'll create the kingdom when I get the money. Once I've done that, I'm going to attack Hudsonia for the holy site in Albany. With my personal levies, a tribal army, and my vassals, I should be able to crush them.

Are you running cosmetic DLCs? Because those may be needed or may need to be disabled.

No, plain vanilla.

I have turned my liberal monarch on the way to democracy into a despotic absolute monarchy slowly revoking hte rights of the people and murdering anybody who opposes me. And as an added bonus I ended up re-instituting slavery, spreading pro-slave propaganda and forcing others into slavery...Prussia is going to be a early Third Reich

Now the game crashes completely.

I think I'll try After the End Version 0.3 instead, see if that's the problem.

So I went to download the Middle Earth mod for CKII, because Russia has become boring.

I extracted the file, did everything that the instructions told me to do, started the game, and came upon the vanilla version.

I'm not exactly sure if I did something wrong or not.

A big fan of EU4 and before that Victoria 2, however after getting EU4 I cannot stand Vicky anymore... :P
My favourite / most successful games in EU4 has been an Ottoman Campaign that stretched from India to Austria to Ethiopia to Vienna to Tartarstan, a Brandenburg > Prussia game where I had most of the Baltic and a GB game where I was (obviously) a large colonial power, recreating Britain's Empire.

Am I the only one that (ashamedly) sometimes loses interest after suffering a big loss, or around the 1700 mark? Around 400hrs played of EU4 and not one finished game.

Nope.

Then again, I play extended timeline mod, so finishing a game might take a bit :p

Curently in another Heruli -> Denmark game, but missed out on capturing Rome (though got much of Iberia, a bit of Balkan and the area around Carthage). Roman Empire still exists in the Eastern Caucasus.

I'm thinking about restarting, going sooner to the British Isles for the manpower and then to pummel the Germanic tribes more than I used to do in this game (so that Alemanni does not sneak into Italy again with the Migration).

I want Rome, I really want that extra missionary to stop the Arian faith.

And the Migration events can be trigged by bordering the Roman empire, so my goal is to leave 1 province open in Iberia for them ^_^ Maybe that way I can trigger constant migration events and abuse those to destroy Gallia in a quick move.

Not a big fan of the extended timeline mod considering it effectively kills the whole 'technology' thing, considering you only get a new one every 20 years or so in that mod. Still interesting for pure warfare though.

Sorry mate, but Mittlefrankryk endures. House Karling will rule a German reichstaat of considerable power and potency; frankly, as-of right now; Fylkir Toke af Munso of Scandinavia just declared a holy war against me. I look forward to a splendidly defensive victory because of just how heavily I consolidated power.
